About the UI. I'd rather see a more regular font for the "terrain", "reset cam", etc buttons. Right now they're just a bit annoying and having a normal font, say Arial, could improve the overall look and professionalism.

Models will come then, when terrain is working brilliant. Else it is like in noggit that have dozens of things that dont work together because some people started working on everything on the same time and afterwards you dont know why its not working. If you change one bug, two others will bring their head up :P

Im pretty finished with texturing. Got a lot of work to do at my job at the moment sadly, so i dont have that much time to program, but i think i can make a soon release.
I reworked to algorithm to take some cubic splines to interpolate the values for the alphamap. You therefore have at least 2 parameters to choose from:
1. Maximum intensity.
2. Speed of loss.
Basically that means you can freely "move" the second point of the following image up and down between the two extrema:
