    Ok, here is what i plan:
    First you can select textures using the texturesearcher. You can select the textures there as you can see in the following picture:
    http://www.imagr.eu/up/4b5b310980aa5_1.JPG

    There you can search for textures either by the name of the zone, by the textures used by the currently hovered ADT, the textures used by the currently selected (and if no chunk is selected the hovered) chunk or the list of the recently used textures.

    Then you press an "Add to favourites"-button and they appear in the front of the following box:
    http://www.imagr.eu/up/4b5b3180c2bc7_2.JPG

    There you can browse youre favourites, remove them, sort them and so on. You can select the texture you would like to use to texture the terrain and then begin to texture. Of course all of this gets saved to the harddisk so the next time you start the application the favourites are getting loaded and are back in the box.

    What do you think about that?

    So, for the performance. A friend of me made a video on his machine which works well (not like my development-environment ).

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY_p_PvvjcQ]YouTube - YiasEdit DX Performance[/ame]

    You see:
    Fast, smooth and without any lag.

    Mine definitely won't load that smooth, but I think it will work for me never the less.

    Working with the beta still please me a bit and I'll rep you when you release the full version

    Oh boy I can't wait for this to be released! I love the circle for the brush. If it changes size according to brush size, that would be a bonus! This will make area creation and texturing SO MUCH EASIER! The UI, the functions, everything sounds like a dream! My brain will explode from this awesomeness. Release it soon!

    Damn, can't give reputation Will do in 24 hours

    Wow it looks smoothier than i expected xD. So... you only have to implement the models... I hope them don't make your editor buggy 'cause i love the results

    Yes, we are close to it :P

    A friend made a little video which is made of all the videos i have made till yet. It should give you a little overview.
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y0mwFQsjtU]YouTube - YiasEdit DX Teaser[/ame]

    Also i removed the nasty errormessage by windows that you know pretty good from other applications ("arcemu-world.exe has stopped working", "NoggIt has stopped working", ...). What you see now is the following (if you even see it (i didnt till yet))

    This is because the data from the ADT mostly are not corrupted at all and can still be saved without any problem. So i catch every error my application produces and check its severity. If its a real error (mostly you can work without any restrictions after the exceptions you have i.e in NoggIt but as nobody is handling them windows shuts down the application) then the message pops up and you can try to save the unsaved ADTs. This may not work everytime but nearly everytime.

    I hope this can take out the frustration if for any reason the application "crashes".

    And by pressing "Cancel" you can say "Nono, its not a big problem, try to continue after the instruction that resultet in an error!". For that i will also supplay minimal information about the error (Like ACCES_VIOLATION and so on).
