This sounds awesome!
I already had some ideas for model placement, here is one of them:
You can activate that the models get aligned to the ground. The Editor looks at all edges of the boundingbox for the terrainheight and calculates the rotation around x and z. This will allow you to spawn models which are rotated to fit the ground.
It's a good idea and sounds very new-user friendly which is a plus
Cromon I downloaded the beta tool again and the password doesn't work

Delete the dll on your plugin folder if you have anyone. I had the same problem and I solved it by this way.
At the moment im working on the final things to make the executable read to be shipped. I made another window that pops up when an exception occured. Of course this will greatly increase the chance that i can get the excat meaning of an error if you get one. Here is a little screenshot with my early beginnings:

Very useful now maybe some of us can understand the errors that may appear.
I also added a Launcher.exe that checks for new versions and if there are new versions gives you the possibility to download it right from the launcher. This will remove the "You dont have the newest version"-issue![]()
so yias edit is going to be released *_* ?
