need d3dx9_42.dll....
need to install directx 9.0c....
maybe just download the single file
google is your friend ;-)
Well....how can i solve my last problem???
Nice work, it works quite smooth, but i found some bugs and things to suggest though
- the Lock feature doesnt work at all, i locked the chunk and still i could raise and lower the terrain, or paint it with another texture
- make the window abit bigger, even better scaleable.. 1024x768 is cute and all but still there isn't much space for the interface
- i believe, the scrolling on map selection is reversed
- if i set terrain mode to Flatten and interpolation to Smooth and press L. it just messes up the chunk
That's pretty much all right now, thanks for your time and keep on developing such a great tool
Edit: I should add that i use enGB client build 11403

Ok, ill answer to what ive seen:
Install the DX redistributable if you get problems with black or gray screens or missing directX-Dlls.
Custom ADTs:
They can be loaded if you press at the right place. The minimap is generated from the .wdl not the .wdt. Ill try to make white squares where an entry in the .wdt is but not in the .wdl so you can see them.
Lock:
It works, but: Lock means only overwriting existing layers. Its not meant for height-changes and it is not ment for free layers.
Window-size:
Ill add a fullscreenmode. Sizing the window is not a good idea with directX. It works but its a but ugly.
Map selection:
It depends on how you see it. I think: Rolling to mousewheel backwards to the user will move the map to the user and make it bigger and moving it away from the user makes the map go away.

Also, the text box when pressing Enter will never go away, so I think removing the "Enter" function would be good (for now at least, because you have to restart YiasEdit for it to go away). Also, for the love of me I cannot seem to apply textures at all! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, is there a certain key that needs to be pressed? Or do I have the wrong kind of keyboard?
One more thing; how do you figure out the locations of custom adts when converting from wdl to wdt? Since I have, for example, an adt. named Azeroth_1_1.adt located within the wdt (location would be [1,1]), wouldn't the locations be the same for the wdl [1,1]? Since whenever I try to open up the location of the adt, YiasEdit will crash. Hope to see the "white squares" thing come in the next updateAnyway, looks like I'm going to be using this for a while. Now about adding .WMOs and Doodads... I can't wait for that

My problem is that my custom adts is in an instance mapid. So I can't really access it.
and I badly need to![]()

Rename adts to azeroth_X_Y.adt or kalimdor_X_Y.adt (unused numbers for x & y), change the wdt to allow these maps to appear. Run the adts through offset fix, now u can access them?? Then when your done you have the adts. Change the names back, offset fix, nd you should be good.
