Worked for me
If anyone knows of a definitive way to get them to reset, that'd be great. I haven't seen them reset once in over 150 kills, and I've died quite a bit with one dead and one still alive while learning how to do it properly.
Every time they kill me, even without being led to any particular mobs, whenever I zone back in, they are already attacking something. My choices are:
a) Kill them both, get loot, reset instance
b) Watch them run around double-teaming every mob that enables you to kill them until there are none left
I always choose option (a), as I don't see what the latter option could possibly do for me. I've tried to kill just one while keeping the other one rooted at its spawn point, then zone out of the instance while it's still rooted. Of course, I don't have an agro wipe (Druid), so that could be my problem.
Anyone with a Hunter/Rogue able to determine whether or not it's even possible to purposely reset the mobs by killing one and agro wiping the other?
Are you doing damage to them? What class are you, and what method are you using to kite them? Which mobs do you use to agro and kill them? If you post more information, we can probably get it to work for you.Im kiting the mobs but i cant loot them. :s
I've been farming those like +50 resets and still havent got any epic BoE, anyone that can confirm that they got any BoE the near hour or something so I know its not hotfixed?
Im a human blood DK, Ive kited with Crashin racer, Myself and i have even used death grip to pull them into the guards. Yeah im doing damage to them, Was wondering if i need to get 1st hit in tho rather then the guards. Are you doing damage to them? What class are you, and what method are you using to kite them? The Rogue in the original video doesn't attack the mobs before getting agro'ed onto the guards, so you don't need to do that. Also, are you still getting the Rep?Im a human blood DK, Ive kited with Crashin racer, Myself and i have even used death grip to pull them into the guards. How are you agroing them onto the guards? Rogues can Vanish, which wipes agro, and at that point The Damned will attack the closest guard. On a Druid or Mage, you can simply root them in place on top of a guard, and they will attack it. Are you using Invisibility potions?
Let us know your method. Perhaps there is something weird about not getting first tag on a mob if you don't have an agro wipe that makes it so you are not able to loot. Try giving step by step instructions on how you currently do it with your DK. Hopefully we can get this issue cleared up.
I asked this question on Page 4 a little over a day ago and received confirmation that there are still, indeed, BoE epics on these mobs. The drop rate is very low. I've killed 150+ mobs and haven't gotten any yet. A little bad luck on my part, but it's only about a 0.3% for each epic to drop. Hope that helps.I've been farming those like +50 resets and still havent got any epic BoE, anyone that can confirm that they got any BoE the near hour or something so I know its not hotfixed?
Awesome after something like 33th run I win my first BoE Epic and around 1k rep.
It's very easy with a mage with invisibility, mirror image and iceblock, in the worst case you can kite them with nova, CoC and frostbolt to wait until they recharge.
Wow, first kill as a feral and a 264 BoE Ranged weapon drops!

So does getting to Friendly via this method alone and not having a single BoE drop make me unlucky?
Quoted for being funny!
Regarding the "reseting the last mob". I've had some fair succes with doing that on my priest. When you pull them (as a priest that is) start out with shackle on one of them, and keep it shackled while you dps the other mob down. When the first mob is down, make sure that the shackle on the other add will last long enough so you'll be able to zone out, without shackle breaking. zone back in (don't reset the instance) and if you're lucky there might be two mobs on the stairs.
Sorry if it's hard to understand, but english is not my native language. I'm willing to throw up a video if wanted..
ty man
