Haha, that would be like buying a gun and shooting it with custom made bullets and the manufactuer coming to your house and telling you that you couldn't do that because they aren't making money off of your bullets. If you own the gun you should be able to use your own bullets. Amirite? lol, its just greed. Glider wasn't hurting anything.

We're paying $15.00 a month for something that we don't own? I paid for my account, and I continue to pay every month. I should be able to do whatever I want with the account, thats why we have them. If I want to use a bot on my account I should be able to. There's no reason for this stuff. I hope Glider wins, it was a helpful tool.
Well, I don't know how much attention you pay to things but every time there is a new patch or even a new WTF folder, theres this thing that pops up on your screen with a whole bunch of writing on it. It's called the Terms of Service, see, now this thing tells you what you CAN and CANNOT do to the game. So, pretty much, you can AGREE to not use the stuff that they said you can't use and to play the game legit. or you can hit DISAGREE and not play the game. I don't think anyone reads that shit, but all you need to know is that you accepted to their TOS and botting is against those rules, so don't pull that 'I pay for the game' shit when you agreed to the TOS. 5am in the morning - im out.

(I hope Glider wins.. D: yeah right )

I think MMO-Glider is just being rediculous, they will never win against a big company like blizzard, i sure hope they win because i used it too and loved it.

But they are just wasting everyones time and alot of money, they just want to be the ones that go against blizzard, i just think this whole lawsuit is pointless.

They will never win, so why wasting everyones time and giving them false hope.

    1. To think we would spend 1M+ on a lawsuit to be the "ones" who went against Blizzard is childish.

    2. We are not fighting this lawsuit for YOU in any way shape or form. We are fighting it because it is our business and they are wrong to try to extend copyright to protect contract law and we think we will win.

Probably not worth posting as most of you haven't read or if you have don't understand the case based on your comments but...

We are not 2 guys and a few lawyers who think Blizzard is wrong...everyone in IP law thinks Blizzard is wrong. From the EFF to Public Citizen, dozens of legal professors to the very top legal experts in copyright law, they all think this should have never gotten out of district and are amazed that Blizzard won . EVEN the JUDGE in AZ stayed the damages because he admitted it could go either way... (think about that). So we are not the only delusional ones. That being said its MDY's money...so we can spend it how we chose and we chose to spend it fighting rather than bend over and hand it to Blizzard as they are wrong. New legal briefs come out a week from Monday - enjoy the read

And @ThugNL in NL or DE Blizzard would not even be able to make a Case.

Or why do you think the 2 Bots Based in Germany never heard or were called from Blizzard....

Actually a case just ended in Germany against a bot company and a game company and the bot company lost - not Blizzard. I dont know the details as I believe they seal their cases - Heard about it from a few sources.

I really really hope you are right; and everyone else is wrong.

To be honest though how often do you see a little guy win against a big corporation. Forget about being right; most of us live in the real world, and this things simply dont happen,

On what grounds, Game? never heard or saw anything in the news and that would have made the News

Priox and Gatherbuddy are still here

I only know of one Gaming Firm who betrayed Investors and this Firm made also Cheats.

Dont know the details - GB boys know about it I believe and Harko.

I am simply saying dont think the EU is protection form lawsuits - that is silly and naive - only DMCA will not apply.

You say Priox and GB are still here and that is your grounds for saying the EU is a defensible place to host and sell bots, again silly. Vivendi is in France and the EU...they just dont care enough yet or perhaps Glider was their big project and they are seeing it through - its still costing them a lot of money at this point.

    DMCA will not apply.
Correct we dont have DMCA so on what grounds for a Bot to be dragged before a juge?
Damages? not really and even if, it will be only a few 1000 $ to 100000 $ not 6,5 Millions $ that would be a first.

I am not saying they will, but I am saying your contention that they cant is stupid and backed up by opinion only. I have been told by 2 legal experts, that charge a lot more than you, that the EU would not have protected Glider. Had we been based there and they filed, it might have gone differently, we might have won, but...the fact of the matter is "incoming education" that you can file against anyone...the boys on the receiving end will get owned by costs...

Think what you want...but don't make statements of fact.

I just read the PDF its so far just a granted ijunction to not anymore sell the Bot in Germany.

What the Botmaker must pay is not out yet but they set the "Streitwert" to 100.000 Euro (thats not what the Botmaker must pay)

The ruling is A not final (it means its not out what the Botmaker must pay) and B its LG Hamburg (Court) they are very pro Copyright and were/was on many cases overruled buy other Courts.

and C its a freeplay MMORPG Browsergame and the Cheat did activate Extra Options which did cost extra. So its a totally differnd Scenario

and D never heard of that Shitty Game bevor.
