Ugh, I wish people would stop spreading that BS about AH manipulation bans.

YOU CANNOT GET BANNED FOR MANIPULATING/INFLATING/ABUSING AH ECONOMICS! THE AH IS A FREE MARKET!

Exploitation of the economy bans stem from gold buying, gold selling, power levelling, etc. Use of the AH for legitimate purposes (ie not to launder gold that you have bought or sold) will not result in a ban. There are forum posts clearing this up from memory, or even if there aren't just ask a GM. I have asked 3 GMs on 3 separate occasions and all have given the same answer, ie that the AH is a free market and you can't get banned for price gouging, market domination, or any other 'underhand' economic tricks.

Please do some research before posting.

Very Odd cause I have been banned several times for placing high level items in AH on lower characters. i did No gold buying / selling / powerleveling / etc. All i did was level an account for a friend of mine and then gave all the high level stuff to my son. he placed it in ah and Boom my friends account // My son's account, and my accounts all got banned ... So do your own research.

Glider is the most popular botting program for WoW to ever be released to the public. The company MDY was issued a cease and desist by Blizzard, but decided to take on Blizzard in court.

As you can probably imagine, the massive bagz o' money Blizzard has lying around gathering dust can be used to buy damn good lawyers (and most likely bribe the judge) in order to shut down MDY, as they lack the intelligence required to write/incorporate a half decent anti-hacking device capable of detecting glider into their software.

Because they needed to bribe the judge to win this lawsuit...

Hmmm like what should I research .. the gm Told me that was why i was banned after a nice long discussion .. was a little over 2 years ago and I have been botting every since. i figure if they are gonna ban me for this stuff I might as well start doing it.

I did dumbass. Its clearly stated by blizzard representatives multiple times, along with it being in their policies.

You obviously did something wrong. I think I'm gonna trust Blizzard over you when it comes to their rules and regulations. Sigh, amazes me how stupid some people can be.

This ruling should cover the stay through the entire appeal, so this is really the last and best shot. If they give us a bounce, we're good until the appeal is done. If they don't, we are done, pretty much forever, since there's no way we'll survive through the appeal without selling Glider.

The only news I've seen is tonight I saw someone say in trade "I just heard glider got owned by blizzard" .. so I went to check mmoglider.com and the site was shut down. Even their mmo outsider site.

Edit: it was just maintenance.

But glider has lost the stay, and they are not likely to win the appeal. so RIP

I call shenanigans on that.

How many times have I sold high-level stuff from a low-level on my alternate account? Countless. How many times did I get banned? None.

99% of the time, you won't be banned. However, if you move *very* large amounts of gold/items cross-account, they may ban you. (I had an account banned from sending ~350k gold to another account of mine.) Blizzard sees you as a gold farmer when you move stupid amounts of stuff.

Current news on mmoglider's forum:

"Our appeal was docketed this week and the court laid down a schedule, with our brief due on August 14th. That's quite a bit sooner than I expected.

We might have to ask for a 30-day extension, however, as my lawyer said he's got a pile of stuff due right then. But even if we do ask for (and get) that, it's still probably going to be all briefed by the end of the year. Insane."



Still no determination as to if they will be able to make it, finanacially speaking, to their brief date. Let's hope for the best.
