Anyone know the best alternative to Glider? I've heard GnomeTools is pretty good, but anything else?
Anyone know the best alternative to Glider? I've heard GnomeTools is pretty good, but anything else?
Ok i have heard people say that glider takes the fun out of game means no skill well who cares thats your opinion i am the person that loved to play wow got my toon to 70 and it was fun wotlk came out and I quit for bit i glided on a different account and made it so much easier leveling your first toon can be fun at times and then after that its like oh wow lets redo this excat thing it gets boring. i cannot stand leveling anymore i hate it but i still love wow and my 70 is not very elite anymore which makes this game lame they are rushing everything the expansion and this case. let people use glider it isnt like they are changing stats they are still paying blizzard their monthly dues. if you got a toon to 80 in a week by gliding that would encourage you to continue to play if you got a toon to 40 in a week by grinding, questing etc. you would probley shoot yourself because it sucks. For those of you that love to level i wish i had that skill but dont rag on people that bot to level some people just cant do it unless they are in a cave nothing around to do and someone is holding a gun to your head forcing you to level. its just like botting your fishing skill up if you sat there for like 2 weeks doing it manueally then wow for real?? i even think GM's would agree that fishing bots should be allowed well that is the same case as leveling. i think glider should win the case its not like Michael Donnelly is stupid but you never know with blizzard, babies cry and somehow get what they want so why does blizzard have to make a big deal because they arent getting the profit from this although they got money flying out their butt they want more just shows how a major coperation is greedey
I personally don't believe that they should be punished for providing a service to people that play WoW. They didn't break the game by offering a person who doesn't have the time to sit in front of their computer, and Blizzard still rakes in the dough from subscriptions.
What it really is about, is power. Glider gave players the power to progress without consequence, and that irritates Blizzard.
Blizzard just get pissed off because they loose out on subs, if it only took you 2 weeks to 80 rather than 2 months they wouldn't get half the money they do!
In your words: Everyone that reaches lvl 80 stops subscribing.
I don´t think Blizzard is loosing money by bots. On the one hand people that bots reaches lvl 80 quicker. On the other hand, they often level more charackters that a normal player won´t level, because leveling sucks.
People that bots often has more than one acc.
But the big point is gamefun. Can anyone or Blizzard say if normal people or botters have more fun ? This is the point, if someone looses the fun to play, he´ll stop subscribing.
I really hope that blizz doesn't win the process. Bots eliminate the boring parts of the game i.e. grinding.

I r not! And u are not so ur a liar! lol :P
I heard posting alot on forums makes you good at the internet. And you would think that glider would make more money for blizzard because it helps people get to 80 quicker so not as many people would get pissed and just quit leveling. And alot of people make new accounts just to glide.
Ok guys I just want to ask something
Can i sell my lifetime glider elite key to someone?
You can honestly look at this case from both standpoints.
Blizzard - It makes sense to ban people using Glider for the fact that, roughly 8/10 that person will buy a new account and do it again. So they get their 15 dollars a month, plus 20 for Vanilla WoW, as well as TBC and WotLK (assuming they don't scam them :P) so yeah, why settle for 15 dollars a month when you can get 35 dollars a month, just for Vanilla WoW plus subscription fees.
MDY - WoW takes time to level (If your a slow leveler that is) and you simply don't have the time to level up numerous alts to the Lvl Cap for the fact that you probably work a full-time job, go to College full-time (or do both, like me) or simply like hanging out with friends and not secluding yourself to your bedroom in a trance staring at the Monitor drooling. Glider helps people do both, live their life and play WoW. Its a neat program, and I'm sure that it saved people from losing their jobs (from calling in to play wow) as well as keeping them in good health. (Assuming they go out and exercise)
These are just my views on the entire thing, and personally, I wish the best for MDY.
Destinations unknown, I'll find my way there
Personally, I think, if anything Glider gives Blizzard more money. I sure as hell didn't Glide/bot any characters on my main account. Heck, I opened three different accounts for botting AND bought BC keys for all three of them. I had them open for at least 2 months each.
If I never tried Glider, I'd always have had just the one, main account.
But, with that being said, I can totally understand why Blizzard want to shut them down. I think the main issue is them making money off of it. Blizz shut down addons that people have to pay for, too, so yeah.
Last I checked you could play wow to level cap and still have a life. It's called pacing. Jesus.
Well merfed, there's also farming, which people don't like to do. I, for one, play the auction house, but that's just me.
PLEASE REMEMBER! A simple thanks can mean so much
