I know it sounds weird but add exception in firewall even with it deactivated and try to turn off windows defender.

I did all those obvious steps. Reinstalled Battle.net launcher, deleted some ProgramData folders related to it too. It just flat out refuses to launch. Blizzard has actually acknowledged this issue and are working on a fix apparently.

Been trying to find a solution for a while right now, I didn't found anything but this doesn't sound like a firewall / antivirus error.

Hello, everything works perfectly thank you for the release of the alpha and HeroesConfig.exe

However, I wanted to try playing Li Li but don't see her as an option to play in the Hero selection. I'm guessing that she is added in a later build? Would it be possible to get more a more recent build soon? Thank you

well she is only available in the later build but it is currently not possible to get it working yet as blizzard have stopped map from loading without logging to the bnet account, they will have to resolve that part first

Hi, and thx for all the work done

I'm on Mac OS so i dl a virtual PC ( parallels desktop ), i create this virtual pc and i tried all the step of Shadow on it and different things i've read after but i had the Starcrap error too =P
Maybe it's because my virtual pc and mac shared the same folders ( i already have battle.net launcher on my mac ), or maybe not, so i deleted it and recreated a new virtual session without sharing anything, new clean and fresh one for restart everything =)

I've read all this thread and another one ( Heroes of the Storm Alpha! ) but more i read more i get confused, so i've some question for the different things and steps to do.

For now i just have the virtual pc, dl on it the 3 link ( Heroes alpha client, Heroesconfig and offline mode ) and extracted the "B271..." folder.


- On the " Heroes of the Storm Alpha 29755 " folder ( inside "B271.." folder ), do i have to run the "Heroes of the storm.exe" application ( that will install what seems more like battle.net launcher than heroes of the storm ), if not do i still have to get battle.net launcher from the official website ?

Because i didn't really understand if i have to put Heroesconfig and offline mode in " Heroes of the Storm Alpha 29755 " or in the " Heroes of the storm " folder ( after the install )


- Do i have to get Starcraft 2 installed ( I've heart of the swarm in one of my account so it's ok if i have to ) ? If that the case, do i have to put something ( folder or/and file ) on the Sc2 folder ?


- In case of firewall issues, what files do i have to add to exception exactly ? I'll turn off firewall and windows defender in all case


- If i use the offline mode, do i have to turn off my internet or do it works even if i'm connected ?

I've managed to fix the Starcraft II error!
I had to download Starcraft 2, then put the heroes of the storm folder in the main folder battle.net uses for downloads. Hope this helps some people out, as I was getting frustrated with it for awhile.

I did that, i put the game in the program files (x86), that is where are all my games from battle.net, but i have the same "starcraft 2" error. I downloaded the starcraft 2 too, but heroes of the storm doesnt work. Any know how fix it?

Did you download Sc2 from battle.net or the website ? And the starter edition or the full game ?

placing the game files in the starcraft 2 trial worked!!!
this is the folder where the game files were placed, bb starcraft2 error.
