neversink is a good one I personal use sayya's
https://github.com/SayyadinaAtreides/sayya-poe-filter
I havnt crashed once using the hud
It's about the items left behind, even with a good filter, you may skip some of them when killing off-screen mobs.
Showing loot drop on the right side of the game, it's a cool feature that GGG should add it to the game.

honestly I dont know why most of the hud options shouldnt be added. other than prealerts.

true but loot filters with sounds will make the sound if loot is droped a screen over or so so I rarely miss anything but I see your point

I play a vaal spark build and when I farm dried lake I kill things 3 screens away to every direction while running. Without the direction to the drop on the right side of the screen I'd have to spend more time searching for drops than killing stuff.
I kept getting the crash roughly once every other run(so once every 5 minutes) which was quite annoying, so I made a quick temporary fix and compiled it myself. I made a pull request but TehCheat seemed to ignore it. I'm not sure why since he said he was going to focus on something else, and the hud crashing all the time for several people is kind of a big deal.

I'm using your fix and is working so far.
I had a flask that was causing crashes with every drop, and after applying your patch, that was fixed.
Maybe TehCheat wants to find the root of the problem or he want to test it himself before merging.
Patience.

Exactly this. Exception catching works, but it's sloppy and makes the code laggy when exceptions are hit. I made a change that I was partially testing last night, that seemed to work, but I didn't test it properly and I forgot to push it out before I went to bed.

Pushed out a change to (hopefully) fix null references with the item filter plugin. Let me know if you see any more crashes with it. (I actually had one last night on the "alternative" side, so I'll take a look at that and see if I can find where it was)

Yeah I know, I just thought you weren't going to do anything with the issue and I didn't know the code well enough to fix the root of the problem, so I just wanted to share a quick fix so that it doesn't crash for other people.
I'm sorry if I came across as rude or impatient, I didn't mean to.

There aren't any new commits so you probably forgot to push it again.

Hey TehCheat, I see you're browsing this thread. Is there a reason behind not showing what a zone contains at the top right as past HUD has shown?

It does show the same as past HUDs - what client are you using (Standalone, Steam, Garena, etc.)?

No worries. And I did a great job of committing it as I ran out the door. I didn't, however, do a good job of pushing the commit.
It should be there now. Thanks for your patience, guys.

If you portal out and back in to the zone it sometimes will catch everything and display it. It's about a 10% success rate, though.
Been trying to tweak it to catch it all, but not having any luck.
