1) Press 'esc' so it will go into the options menu
2) Click the logoff button, then just before your character goes out of the game, fly up on your flying mount

No, you hit logout, and as soon as you hit the logout button, you fly up. Instant log out, by-passing the 20second wait.

Just tested 10 times, doesn't work outside of orgrimmar in durotar, had you just ran out of a inn because you have about 5~ seconds grace period before the server acknowledges you've exited a rest zone.

doesn't work for me, although sometimes when I try it the counter will start at 10 seconds but then immediately go back to 20 seconds...

I just tried this every way I could imagine.... I tried doing it right as I hit the logout button.. I tried doing it before.... I tried doing it after.... Nothing, nada, zippo, zilch....
