Well if that's the case, then it's not really an instant log out :/

EPIC Fail, you are disconnecting, NOT logging out!

    I bet you've macroed
    /console startproject
and you'r hitting it at the same time.

Even if you'r not, the "/console startproject" is way EZer than doing all that(if it worked)....

Give the guy credit! IT DOES WORK! I just tried it right outside orgrimmar.

    WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO:

    Type /logout

wait 1 sec then press space bar

It really depends on your computer / lag IMO

What I think is happening is when the Logout timer appears you are trying to fly in the air so it disconnects you from the server. It does not log you out though, it simply disconnects you from the server.

For us quick ones though you have to wait a second. I kept trying it where I would click log out then click space bar right away. That does not work. You have to click logout or /logout then wait a split second and hit space bar so your guy jumps off the ground on his flier when the logout timer becomes active.

I do confirm this DOES WORK.

    So what you're saying is.

It's completely useless, Alt + F4 or a disconnect macro makes more sense. If i wanted to disconnect fast i might aswell hit my sensitivity button and keep doing 360 degree turns with the camera, works the same way.

Yes, it will disconnect you. It does not log you out. What he said there is incorrect.

In regards to your disconnect macro, if their is one out there that is guaranteed to disconnect you with 1 click then it would be more efficient than this.

In regards to your Alt + F4, that exits you out of the game. This disconnects you. If you would like to log onto a different account without having to reopen the game and you are not near a city or inn, this would be more effective than simply Alt + F4ing.

The OP never stated "THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO DISCONNECT YOURSELF FROM THE SERVER". He simply is demonstrating an exploit that does infact work. If you wish to give examples of other ways a disconnect can be performed maybe you should make your own thread.

Except it DOESN'T. It does NOT log you out...which is what the OP claims it does. It's just another method of disconnecting...an unreliable method I might add. Which makes it completely useless in the face of other methods.

If you read the first sentence of my reply a little slower you would have grasped the entire concept of it.

"Yes, it will disconnect you. It does not log you out. What he said there is incorrect."

Your definition of useless is a matter of opinion in this case.

Not a true instant logout, but a 'disconnect' as previously stated.

As also previously stated, just macro the disconnect command "/console startproject"... no need for tricky flight tricks.

    Mods, please lock this thread.

    lol @ "entire concept"

Your statement that it works is still incorrect. It does NOT work, as it does NOT log you out, which is what the OP claims it does.

Also....ALL statements of "useless" are a matter of opinion...but in this case it is quite accurate.
