Delfin, its the best for now
Or, i'd say AspireDev, buts its for old versions.
ArcEmu has a lot of not needed shit, trashed code.
So i think it's better to use own assemblage of emu.

How is delfin the best, its closed source and only russians can understand it :O
Id say Mangos is the best, always up to date and drama free. But i dont use mangos so![]()
im on :stage1:
Yeah I've looked at the svn before, just can't remember where its hosted at...
EDIT: https://opensvn.csie.org/delfin or something
http://opensvn.csie.org/OpenDelfin - core
http://opensvn.csie.org/db_delfin - Database
LOLz at all the fake 1337s here, thinking their badass for using some obscure core thats written in MS's proprietary SHIT language![]()
I prefer Aspire
This is the classic example of a n00b.
First off, all more obscure cores are obscure because they aren't fully developed yet. And many cores you consider obscure are very useful project that aren't your god arcemu so you refuse to even touch them. As for this bullshit about MS and C#, i would like to re-call you a total n00b. C# is a very powerful language and, though it is second to C++, it can easily support multi-threading and other essentials for a WoW emulator. Personally, i would use any stable C# emu over a c++ one, just because i know it would be pretty rock-solid. Vb is even capable of doing this, though i do not prefer it. Emulators do not all need to be in C++. As for Microsoft, their VS is the best IDE out there, and .NET is insanely powerful.
SUMMARY *for those too lazy too read*: What a ****ing n00b. You know nothing about emulation, gtfo this site/section.
EDIT: Almost forgot, i support WCell. And i am tehubarl33t for it.
^ And you seem ton only know of what you have read in various conversations.![]()
Actually multithreading with c# is much easier than c++, longer discussion not needed, threadpool, all there is to say...
As for IDEs i must say that vs2k9 sucks balls in comparison to some java IDEs like eclipse. I have high hopes for 2k10, since its going to contain many of the same tools that java has, and they are probably better. Keep in mind, MS is only butteffing their private customers, not the professionals.
I'm gonna have to vote MaNGOS for it's HUGE community support and dedicated companion projects (namely UDB and SD2). I see this as one of the longer lasting projects that wont branch off into a hundered different projects.
I like arc emu best
