I have to say, MaNGOS does the job for me, Its been around for years and now has a very large community, easy to find when you stop hosting for a couple of years, easy compilation, install and configuration, easy modification and updating.
    Constantly increasing support relatively stable.

but after saying what my favourite emulator, the emulator couldn't possibly be complete without the 2 side projects: Unified DB and Scriptdev 2
Both of which are fantastic and i love for all the same reasons as i love the mangos core :P

Because believe it or not, however people make it out at the end of the day it is a good emulater. They have a crap leader, most of the devs quit / got fired, but who cares, at the end of the day people still use it for good reasons. Stop trying to send people on another path :yuck:

I agree in the fact that it is the easiest to set up, but it is the worst of all the major emulators. Community and leadership are crap. The core is very poorly coded with memory leaks, lack of the latest features, lack of latest patch support, no good database for it, dirtiest code to learn with that will develop bad coding habits, among other things.

I don't have a problem with people choosing ArcEmu, I have a problem with people not having an answer (or a decent answer) as to the "Why" question. The great thing about the emulation community is that you can choose an emulator (thus not being a monopoly), but misinformation leads to ignorance and other things. People should be educated by their emulator as to what the advantages AND disadvantages of their emulator are, which would help cut out some people who are misinformed.

I moved from arcemu to mangos and i must say that i love it. It's much more stable, take way less resources, there is more features and the code is much more cleaner. And most important, they most often are the first to support blizz new patches.

I like Arcemu because I know how to use it.
Deathsimon : Is true that sometimes Arcemu is unstable.
    My Best Score with Arcemu : Uptime : 2 days , Players : 93.

I use Mangos but not frequent because I'm not intending to create a BlizzlikeServer
^^ Same for TrinityCore ( Tested it, and it's a great core )^^

Never tried WCell , I checkout the svn but it is'nt updated very often.

Never heard of Apoc and eWoW
