My votes for ArcEmu. May not support the current patch but I like it.
I personally favor MaNGOS for it's simplicity yet good core edits.
In response to vindicated, I like it because of Lua. Also mgx, i never said arc introduced Lua, just stated that I like Arc. I don't know anything about C# and very little of C++ so I work with the easier stuff![]()
Mk. Well that's a decent reasonBut remember, when you do decide to open your possibilities and learn a C-based or .NET language, you will be introduced to a new and great world

Yeah, I've seen some of the neat things done in C++ here, I've looked at some guides as well, just none seem to make sense to me.
Well it is better if you learn the language first. Download a C++ eBook and read it (twice if you have to). Then look at a guide or release from this site. It will start to make more and more sense. After that, just look through the core and practice practice practice and you'll be on your way![]()
Ah Okay, misunderstoodnever said you had, it was merely a response to everyone who goes like "arcemu cuz it supports lua!!"...more of a piece of information rather than a flame towards any specific post![]()
I like Arcemu (didn't had a server in a long time so IDK if they are on 3.1.3 but doesn't matter) otherwise Ascent is the one I like I hate mangos.
atm Iam using trinitycore, but prefer to use arcemu, because i cant c++, but can a bit of lua![]()
My vote goes out to MaNGOS. I've used other emulators such as ArcEmu and Ascent but neither seem to have anywhere near as much stuff working as MaNGOS (AV, WorldPvP, Spells, etc). Also, I found MaNGOS to be far more stable and UDB to be much more Blizzlike compared to NCDB.
Only downside to mangos for me is how it starts to lag at around 700+ players due to it not being multithreaded.
