New temp ban only post here!

I have 3 accounts: LVL40, LVL35 and LVL33

Only Lvl40 account used bot during night yesterday, and got " failed to retrieve data from the server"

I have just tried to login lvl35 and lvl33 and all working good. No ban, no pokemon or pokestop issue.

And i assume all 3 have been botting at some point after the release of the game yea? Pretty much shows that the accounts that were botting when the servers went down are the ones that are stuck.

Regarding catchflee, isn't that just how the temp soft ban works? I've had it before; it depends on how far you've teleported and can last between 30 mins to 8 hours.

The difference is that the new catch escape/flee allows you to loot Pokéstops where as the previous one didn't.

Cant spin pokestops, get try again later... Have no balls so cant try catching!

this seems ur login has been disabled, i got same on 1 account, while catch flee on the rest i personally think that error is the ban and catch flee is a temp softbanned of unknown length, but i could be wrong, is not a server issue since i have tried several accoutns back to back and only this one has that error

That's odd, because I had that exact softban a couple of days ago when I accidentally logged in on my phone with gps on and teleported my character to a different country.
After an hour it had cleared and no more catchflee's.

My story:

- 2 google accounts
- botted both with necrobot last 14days
- both using fast snipes yesterday
- FIRST gets (failed to get server data) ..SECOND is working normally.
- Its is NOT IP ban (one computer, FIRST cannot login, SECOND login working normally

The only way I can see this not being a ban of some kind for European players getting the player data message is if Niantic did something during the early hours of the night which happened to affect users who were currently signed in at that time. This would explain why regular users (who would be sleeping at the time) seem unaffected while botters who specifically botted over that time period have been.

ROFL - seriously - there are two camps here:

1. you've received the message on your device "failed to get game data from the server"
2. anything else at all other than 1

If you're receiving number 1 above then it's almost certain that account has been perma-banned - get over it - I have It does suck but hey whatever - we all knew the risks.
If you're receving something other than number 1 - i.e. number 2 then you're all good - it's likely just a soft-ban. Just play careful else you'll fall into number 1 LOL.

Could be. And could not be the cause for this... We're just gonna have to wait and see til everything get stable.Then we'll know if we gt perm ban or not.
Sometimes I'm sure it must the servers since it's been off in my country for almost 7 hours now but then Idk because I can still log in on Nox with my others accounts and they're just fine. Been botting them for the last couple of days but stopped yesterday then got to my fav top account and let it botting for the night and when i got up and checked everything I got the messageand oh well. Here I am

Everyone calm down, It's been confirmed that the servers are down by alot of people (not just botters) please be patient as niantic probably already knows about the downtime

I can understand why some of you think I'm 'trolling', but ask yourself this:

Why is it, only the bot forums are the ones making noise that they are getting this error message? You have your answer.

My source wouldn't confirm the method employed to catch you. May I ask, to those getting the "failed to get game data" - what speed were you walking at, and for how long?
