Depending on how different the IPs are and depending on a lot of factors, this really isn't surprising.

There are only a few scenarios where it's likely your account will be unbanned.

Hey i sold my account to accounts.net ~3months ago and i have another account with the same last name as the account i sold. If i recalled that account and moved the toon to my other account that I didn't sell could accounts.net do anything to me? and also does it cost anything to move characters from account to account?

    bans make me sad

So maybe I deserved to get banned for power leveling from lvl 38-51, but I really wasn't expecting it. I thought I would go on vacation and when I came back I could play at my new lvl.... but no I got banned but I'm not even sure I got banned for power leveling the e-mail stated

"The account has been identified as having used unauthorized game modifications and thus is in violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. The recurring subscription on the account has been disabled to prevent further charges."

    What does that even mean?

Have e-mailed them once but no response. Man this is pissing me off.

You emailed them how long ago?

And you stated specifically that you were hacked and you found a keylogger?

Anyway, it appears the powerlevelers who were on your account were botting to level it faster.

I mentioned everything in your thread, and luckily enough, another IP was on my account before it got banned, and something interesting happened.
I got two emails, three minutes apart from Blizzard.
The first email said "Account Closure Due to Prohibited Software Reviewed", basically telling me that regardless of who or where my account was used, I was responsible for it, even with or without my own authority. It said that my account won't be restored under any circumstances. THEN...

Three minutes later, I got this second email.
    Subject: Account Retrieval Instructions
"The account contains incomplete or inaccurate billing contact information which is a violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. As a result, we have locked the account to give you the opportunity to provide full and accurate information. The recurring subscription on the account has been disabled to prevent further charges.

This message contains our Account Retrieval process, which will enable the rightful user of the account to resume their adventures in the World of Warcraft."

And they gave me a PDF of a form to fill out and mail them.
I'm trying to make sense out of it, and need some advice on what to do. =]

Viskus, email AA (I'm not sure if you're US or EU).

If you're EU, email [email protected]

If you're US, email [email protected]

Explain that you received 2 emails from them and you're not sure which one is correct.

    I'm sure.

The first email says you're banned.

The second email says you're locked.

If the first email is correct, you'll be in deeper shit than you would be if the second email was correct.

Can they really legally ask for a Notary to get my account back. Yes when I created my account I use real information. However I feel that getting a notary is really overkill. Since I used a valid credit card (debt card) from my bank which I needed an id for to get it. Also, since we are "renting" space in a sense don't we kinda of have any right to our accounts?

I am looking into a possible legal way to get the accounts back that were locked. I had two accounts hacked and at first I had the first form then I got all my accounts locked. I am planning on maybe take legal action againts blizzard cause I feel that as a consumer we all have rights. Yes they may "own" WoW and all that but, we are paying for a service. Which by all ways we all have rights.
Laws can be changed and challege. They do not own the time or money we put into these accounts and such no other online company has gone so anal againts their own customers. I am in the process of talking with a attonery if this pans out would people here be intereted cause they could open doors that were never there before.

You have no rights in the World of Warcraft other than what Blizzard sets.

They are fully in their legal rights to ask for a notary from you. It really does not take long, and if you are who you say you are, then no problems will occur.

Why are you going all crazy?

The chances of getting unbanned after being powerleveled are quite high.

    Not a big deal.
