Obviously because the quest itself would have been datamined, this is impossible. Not sure if you're trolling
ParceQueFraiSe, it is not possible to open the box. Simple as. It's a myth someone made up, but you/people in this thread don't want to pass it off as fake simply because you want it to be true, just like in the old Pokemon games where your friend would tell you you could get a Mew by doing absurd, illogical things; you still did them because it was the only hope at getting it. In this case, people are doing the same, but instead of Mew we have the opening of this box. I'm sure people who have played Pokemon have an idea of what i'm talking about.

Now here's something interesting to consider: What if this thread was aimed at, instead of trying to find something impossible and not beneficial in any way, finding something that actually mattered - like a dupe. Fourteen pages of ideas towards something that everyone actually cares about, and that is equally as mythical - but actually real.

However, the community effort this thread has created is incredible. I won't lie, this is what actually made me sign up for OC... so use that power for something more constructive.

I hear your point completely... but saying that a dupe is "something that everyone actually cares about" devalues your argument. Many explorers couldn't care less about duping.

At this point, I think locking this thread is something that everyone actually cares about, lol.

I've known this couldn't be opened since I read the thread. It is just fun to see the ideas and imaginations of people. This brought people together to try to find something, to enjoy themselves. Nothing wrong with that, it is what video games are for, fun!

I recently got intrigued by this item, but unfortunately don't own one yet.
I did have a look at the orb with my druid and managed to touch it (it's solid and you won't pass through it) ... too bad I was dead due to the instant-death border

Go to the location nearest to the orb, where you don't get fatigues (on X, Y and Z) and make sure you have click-to-move enabled.
Then click on the orb and make sure your character swims there on auto-swim.
At some point you die because of the instant-death border but you remain moving forward towards the orb because of the auto-swim still on while the camera view remains stationary.

Now this made me come up with a theory to get there alive and try the box. At this point I would like to try the same thing, but with a soul stone on me.
When you hit the orb just resurrect, hope the instant-death doesn't occur at this distance from the orb and click the box like mad!

Anyone able to try this theory, while I dig the ground for more fragments?

Not sure if this info will help you get past the death wall/fatigue zones. I was able to use this on my warlock to go to wherever i wanted on the map with fatigue and I would constantly stay at 1hp

Some time they miss things data mining they could not find the everlasting horde fireworks on wowhead till today and those were in the db since at least 5.01 on ptr. But that being said this seems like a ERMAC or golden warthog if you catch my drift

So, the only problem is that we will die from fatigue if we try to get to the orb?

Wouldn't it be easy to just stack spirit on a lvl 1 and spirit-reg all your way through the orb?^^ Get him a lvl 25 guild and port your char with the guild perk.
