I'm not sure how this is more detectable than forcing yourself into a different instance by blocking IPs to get Aeonaxx which never got any bans. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it but who knows.

People are selling hivemind mount in trade chat using this method, so I doubt they're going to ban everyone that got it this way since you could be completely unaware that it's an exploit.

EDIT: People being me now since I bought one and was easily able to recreate it. Will report back on whether or not I get banned, have sold to 3 groups so far.

I see people selling in group finder. I did it once legit way, but then they changed the mount.
I have 3 acounts that I want to get sets of toons linked up on for when I multibox.
Not sure I wanna chance doing this or not. Gonna be a massive suspension or ban with all the people doing it

I feel like that's exactly the reason why they won't ban for this. So many people are doing it that it would be insane to ban everybody. I feel like if anyone gets banned it'll be the people who were mass selling it (like me) but even that I don't think they'll do. I abused Ivus and got all 3 pieces of loot from him and didn't even get the gear taken away


EDIT: Has anyone been able to do this since the patch this morning? I just tried to do it and the entire group instantly died when we got to the bridge

No yet I’m working on finding a work around using lag and or demon gates if it’s a kill wall instead of zone I’ll let you know if I find something bud!

This just seems kinda like tempting fate putting it in Blizzards face. Its like a kid going NA NANA NA NA NA, YOU CANT CATCH ME.

They hotfixed the AFK Islands. Knew that was coming with people making groups advertising it, and I guess they are going through the AP bug list now.

Id like to try this for sure, but I think its been talked about and made way to public. Feel like they are going to eventually hit everyone that did this.
I dont think anyone is dumb enough to not know this was an exploit so there's no plausible doubt here.

I'm picky abut what I will try because my account is from 2004 and I have far to much vested time to lose it should they decide to take action.
Still wish I could do it and get away with it cause I have multiple accounts that I multibox and I need to link up teams in my hive mount.
I really only want the multiple person flying ability. I could live without the speed perk. Been wanting a multi flyer for years.
