[Question] Scammed an account but owner retrieved it

So I managed to scam someone of his account and strip his characters of all the gold and valuables. Before I could get it banned he managed to retrieve his information(he must have contacted the original owner, because he bought that account from someone else) and regain control. I traded the gold and items through another character before getting it to my main (this is using 2 different proxy servers). I am guessing he is most likely going to try and restore his items now.

The questions are:

What are the chances of blizzard tracking down the items and gold and getting me banned?

Is there any way to get away with the stuff(its quite alot of moola :P), such as transferring accounts (but staying on the same server). Are there any precautions I should take note of if I were to try this out?
