Not much, I usually do it when my teammates are raging over vent just to make them go "WTF". Then again there's practical applications of it too, some people in this thread have replied with ways that this can be used to gain an advantage.

Hm that's a pretty good one. If you can get in the arena early enough you might also be able to get a stealth off and be able to sap/CS once your teammate enters.

on a side note, Ive tried the "cast one last spell while dead", and can only seem to use freedom on my warrior, never holy shock?...anyone else experience this?...

Any instant cast should work, I've been able to shadowburn and death coil before leaving the arena, you may need to mash the button more. I really wonder what the other side sees when you do fire something at them while dead though o.O
