I'm with real ip and i don't use hamachi.

Sign up for a Dyndns account to reroute your IP through it it's free and works just like an IP address without people having to connect to it like Hamachi.

Then Open these ports for your ip in your router settings if you have a linksys its under Application & Gaming and port forwarding:

Hello.. for those that the mangosd.exe is crashin. Did you guys follow what moffeman says at the end of the instructions?

Same happend to me and the problem was that I forgot to empty the groups table.

In case you haven't here it is....

NOTE: In your mangosd.conf file, look for "MOTD" make sure you change it or else the server will crash upon start.

NOTE2: Make sure you open your database inside navicat and right click the table called "Groups" and press "Empty Table" to make the server work too

Yes I have tried emptying the groups table as well. I also checked into port forwarding to see if i was having an issue there but actiontec is not very helpful there. I know how to access the config and setup page but again not to clear on how to use. I suppose it might even help to see someones mangosd and realmd configs to see if by chance I messed something up and am overlooking something. just a thought.

Make sure that the username, password, and database name is correct in the config files. Don't accidently delete the port either.

make sure that the section where I put "your ip goes here", "username", and "database name" are correctly filled out according to what you chose earlier. Hope this helps.

I am so frustrated. I have tried so many things but still no luck. When I start the restarter both the realmd.exe and mangosd.exe windows pop up but neither show any text. It all just crashes immediately. I really have tried al the suggestions given here but to no avail. I wonder is some other program is interferring with it. I've tried changing my realmlist to set realmlist localhost and 127.0.0.1. I just can't seem to get this working.

This has probably been said but did you restart your mysql and then start up mangos?
Yes ip can be replaced w localhost or 127.0.0.1 I think

As far as restarting mysql I rebooted my pc. Does that count? I don't know how to reset manually yet but learning.

Moff I get ALOTTT of reference loot template errors in mangosd I looked at the table and its empty mind uploading that?

Navicat needs to running while loading up the server right? I've always had mine running.
