yeah i have an interesting question not sure if you answered it up top but dont think you did well i ran my emu and it finished and all so then i ran my wow.exe so far so good made new acount everything running smoothly and when i log in it gives me some error im not sure what to do and yes i keep my emu on all the time when playing. could anyone help me

And i did all what it said, but when i was about to log in, a message popped up: "Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or the interference of another program. Please visit www.blizzard.com/support/wow for more imformation and possible solutions to this issue" ..

What could be wrong?.. Wrong patch perhaps?.. - Or do i need a hackpatch?.. Im rather confused actually.

(If there is a problem with the patches, please explain how to up/downgrade them to a newer, or an older patch.. Sorry for being a newbie :P)

(If i need a Hackpatch, then please write a link to a place where the right patch is. - The ones i've recently downloaded appears to be crappy)

But then when i check the WoWemu console it says that ADMIN user exists but it gets connected whenever i log in. Can someone help me right away?

Something might not be correct. This sounds like an internet probleam. So you may have an firewall, ports aren't opened, and etc.

Ok..... look.. i went through every god forsakened page and forum. and most of you seemed to have had the same issue and answer..

I just want a server for me. to pwn it up and use for video purposes..

Tutorial, and i got to the "Find your folder, Create, Extract" Part, Yeah, the command prompt thing. It comes up. and goes away. i edit some ****.It comes up. It goes away. I screw with some more folders. Now it just FLASHES. My computer will not let me just "Re-Install" because my WoW folder is currently on this CPU.
I just attmpted to CTRL+C(copy) all the current folders excluding the old old patchs.. Although im assuming i know my issue. I did not install the 1.11.1 Patch. I have the Hackpatch in there and not the Blizz patch. Should I have to install it? because when i attempted too it sad i did not need to. It I will try to continue this myself enless i receive a proper resonce to this issue.

is difficult to navigate with the errors and lack of knowledge on these issues. PLEASE. I will +++Rep with who ever answers me. I dont have a long time, I leave for Iraq in a very short time. I just wanted a private server to mess around in before i left. WoW is a big thing to me since i lost pretty much everything but a wife and kids

i've been trying to make a server just for myself, following pretty much any guide i could. once i finally found out how to downgrade wow without reinstalling it (i've aparently lost my cds) it wouldnt go down passed 2.0.0, meaning it cut out a lot of the options i had for guides. any of the other ones i follow leads me to a point where i have to create databases using either sql or navicat, but i cant connect to it. all it tells me is that the connection is refused. i have my IP address in, but tried any port numbers i could find with no luck. is there a certain port for anything, or any way someone could help me with this?

ok so like why cant i find my wow.exe file like what does it look lik e(if someoneay be able to show pick). i have reinstalled my warcraft and i still cant find it? is there a way to download or create it lol. i appriciate it =). +rep to any that can help

ok so i just madw my second...yes second wow server this time i used the AFG repack and in my oppinion it is a bit more bug free that americas93 repack(whitch i used the first time). but both of them seem to have the same problem that is driving me crazy ill be 2 steps away from a person with my rogue or warrior but when i try to attak it says im 2 far away but im right next to him and even when i am underneath of it i still cant attak it

I'm working on setting up a ManGOS 1.12.1 server, and everything seems to be going fine until I try to log into the server. I start up SQL and Realm perfectly fine, but MangosDB doesn't want to cooperate. Here is the error message it gives.

Ok, the reason you may not validate game version because your verision of wow is eathier to high or low. If your running 2.0.10 that means the version is to high. SImply go into your wow folder-data-delete patch.mpq.

Run repair, it wants to go back to an eariler version. Do so and whala, you got your thing fixed. If it continues your version of wow is to low. Try to find which version you server runs.

Your problem is most likely yes a wrong version somewhere. What server are you running Emu or Mango? If it is Emu make sure your game version matches the hackpatch. If it mangos make sure the game version matches the version of mangos.

To downgrade...I hate talking about this. If you have a live account on Blizzards official server that is still active it is most likely above version 2.0. If that is the case and you are making a 1.xx server you will need to COMPLETLY wipe World of Warcraft from your system. Now before you run to do that make sure you have an older copy of WoW to install back from. The copy on the WoW website is 2.0 so that is no good. I know there was a copy around here on the forums somewhere. If it is not anymore you need to do some searching on the internet (Google is your friend). From this point once you install the old copy update using the different files, I use Fileplanet to get the updates in the small chunks instead of the all encompassing one Blizz released.
If you are making a 2.x server then you just need to delete a couple files in your WoW folder to make it not run and it will tell you to repair. Make sure you do not delete the repair exe. That would be bad.
Now once they are installed/patched to the version of the private server you want install the private server either Emu or Mango and follow the guides with those.
I hope this helps, if not I can get a little more specific but this should get you fairly far into the process you should be able to make your way through the rest.

Refer to my comment on the previous poster. Basically your problem is the same as his. You are using Mangos which makes it easier. I used that Mangos for a long time till I updated my Private Server to 2.0.8.

Mangos is a private server just like WoW Emu and it enables you to play World of Warcraft without logging into the Official Blizzard servers.
