alrighty then, where should i get a new mpq? just make my own or can i still use glitchy's MES to make it? o.o
I may be overstating the obvious, but your MPQ's have to meet the new naming convention since 2.4
Example:
patch-a.mpq < This will fail
patch-A.MPQ < This should work. The difference is capitolizing the extension.
I hope this helps a few folks.
Currently trying a small model swap (human M to Undead M) with the latest MES and WOWME versions.
Im using the helmfix right now which i believe might cause an issue, if it does, ill redo it without the fix and tell you guys how it goes
Edit:
Ok so my first attempt failed. I loaded into the game just fine, but when i get to the character select screen the human character was still human, not undead. Going to attempt again without the helm fix.
Edit2:
Ok both attempts have failed, same result, I dont really know what to do...
Step by step this is what i did:
1. DLed and installed the latest Glitchies MEF
2. DLed wowME and placed it in my world of warcraft directory
3. set the save path to a backup folder and made the file into Patch-Z.MPQ
4. I clicked the "Create List" button because of the recent patch
5. Selected Human Male to undead Male. I unchecked the helm fix.
6. Once finished, I copied the resulting file from the backup folder to my data folder, under the name Patch-Z.MPQ
7. Loaded into wow with the wowME exe, i hit f8 at the login screen and proceeded to log in. I selected the human character to find there was no change.
What did i do wrong?

My normal edits like reskins and character to character edits work fine but any other edit doesn't work. This isn't a recent thing either, ever since kynox introduced the CFG thing it started. Chazwazza's fix worked totally fine I wish he would start making it again.
Any insight kynox?![]()
I'm not sure if this is a recent issue, i myself don't model edit. But any of you experiencing the model edits not applying, are you using patch-number.MPQ or patch-letter.MPQ?

We patch the same offset, there's no difference >_>; and if you hadn't noticed, the CFG isn't there because of people like you complaining it was too difficult.
I myself, personally loved the CFG.
But yeah man, I've tried everything myself, using patch-number, patch-letter, capitalizing the letters in patch-letter, not capitalizing, everything, trying all kinds of shit, all with .MPQ capitalized aswell. It's not working.
In my opinion, you should go back to what you used to make just to make everything easier on you.
Is the MPQ file in use once you launch wow with WoWMe.exe? Try renaming the MPQ while WoW is running.
>_> isnt working for me.. si there any way you could put out a version with the CFG back in it?![]()
