I just received the failed to get game data from the server message 20 minutes ago when I closed the bot, it took me 20 minutes to figure out that's a permanent ban I end up reading this thread and I got shocked that there's people got the message 20 hours ago and they still think it's not a ban !!

I'm stopping any sniping activity, even manual sniping until further dev clarification of what's getting tracked. Because I'm starting to lose some more of my testing accounts to the "failed to get data from server" error.

One of the banned accounts was one, not used in a couple of days. Just logged in earlier today on an iPad to test it, then tried to snipe a few pokemon. Afterwards "failed to get data from server" error. Straight up botting in one location without sniping seems to be safer, as long as it doesn't loot over 1500 Pokestops, and less than 1000 Pokemon in a day.

Sniping with some other accounts, that do not have any record of previous bans seems to still be fine. So there's probably some internal flag system, when an account receives any softban, it will be more likely to receive a harsher ban next time around.

well it's not the question of it is a ban, that is obvious, it's the type of ban that is unclear. Is it perma? Just a few days? Is our acc gone? Can we get it back after some days? for this we have no answers

Because there's no 100% confirmation on wether people got banned or not unless they were notified while logging in or through email.

Maybe because there actually are people who have said that they have also had that very same message and having the "ban" lifted, people where talking about false-positive earlier which could very much be the case why they where unbanned.

Yes, I was using pokemobbot. Everything to avoid bans. No sniping etc.
Funny thing is, the accounts that I used haxon, necro, I did a lot of sniping are still good. But I think sooner or later they will be banned,

I have literally just hit over 8k pokestop a while trying to get 700 ultra ball, and just finished not too long ago, and my account is perfectly fine
