For future reference, just copy the non-steam files over to the steam folder, the only difference I've noticed is the actual executable. Steam seems to agree with that, as it won't try downloading any of the other files.

Yeah, I did that, still ended up being over 1GB download.

Huh, that's odd :/ I've been letting steam keep PoE up-to-date for me, haven't had a single download from the non-steam launcher since
Maybe steam does download some extra files then, oh well

Yeah, if you do it that way, it works well. But the other way doesn't. I don't use steam, I use the standalone. So when the standalone updates, the ggpk file is different than what the steam updater thinks it should look like. It's the beauty of having a bloated file with all the data in it. If the file is different than Steam thinks it should look, it has to fix it.

They're working fine for me. Tested on Steam, vanilla, Garena TW & SEA.

What about adding preloads for unique strongboxes? I am assuming they are using unique models/textures which could be detected during the load. Though I may be completely wrong. Should be easy to test it with Plaegumaw III (or IV, whichever one spawns a unique Arcanist box in the Hedge Maze).

I can confirm if they are unique strongbox, their textures are loaded (even got like micro freeze while chancing them, the model of the box change)

Whats up with this ass long list of preloads?
Looks kinda bugged :confused::confused:
BTW. looks like the hud loads warbands monsters, but also the correct boxes at the same time, wtf!
Another example
Restarting HUD didnt help either.
"Problem" got fixed after reaching act 2

Yeah, it's been asked a couple of times. It's not something I'm good at finding. Their files should be in content.ggpk, grab a content.ggpk viewer and see if you can find files that relate to the unique strongboxes. Then throw the file names in the preload_alerts.txt and see if they show up when they should. vmv usually handles this and he's been pretty quiet this league. I could certainly do it, but I don't have the motivation to.
