Well I remember it happen like for the first day in the last build and went away... anti virus is not poping up anything.
So if I download just the exe. I should still run the .bat or should I rename the exe the first time round?

extract everything from folder
run shortcut.bat
get security warning, click run
creates <random name>.exe
nothing loads
removes POEHud.exe
removes <random name>.exe
Try to put poehud.exe back

"You'll need to provide Administrator premission to copy to this folder"
Can not continue If I reboot that warning goes away.

You have Defender service enabled maybe, so even if you allow the hud from antivirus, the defender maybe is blocking it. Or it is already on the blacklist of your antivirus.
I can help you with teamviewer if you cannot resolve this in the end.

Is it normal that, after running shortcut.bat, a lot of things start to happen in my pc instead of just making the hud appear in poe? i had a lot of windows pop (calculator included) xD, kinda epic, i had to turn it off just in case.

Thank you ALL for all your help, it was bitDefender... don't know why it wouldn't pop up a warning or exception... last time I had AVG.

When you extract the hud, do it in it's own folder not on desktop or anywhere else. The bat file starts all .exe files from his current location....
...and what ceh430 said, do not start the shortcut.bat with admin option

Thanks to all who make this great program work. My only problem with the Hud is that the health bars dont show up on the hero, minions, or monsters.
