i forgot to ask for CD/game box keys big mistake,he will most likely try to get it back considering that the account has many rare things, but that is just my opinion.
So i found a world of warcraft account on craiglist.com for 900$ with all the rare mounts / spectra tiger and high lvl gears , i met the seller face to face in apple store , payed him the money , changed the email and password and got the account , he said he would later help me if i ever got into any trouble with blizzard by sending his ID and information ,
what really worries me is when he was showing me the account he was kinda... not nervous but didnt quite know what he was doing like took him a fewseconds to figure where the mounts are in character page , and he said he had bought the spectra tiger for 850$ from ebay himself and he can give me the game card if i want to some another day...
but worries me is how can I be sure that in a year he wont call blizzard and try to get the account back ? he did gave me the security question just in case but i forgot to ask for CD/game box keys... is there anything i can do to basically recall-proof the account so he wont be able to get it back in a year ?
I had never bought an account before so i didnt know what i should have gotten from him when doing the trade ,
please help me with this , thank you
+Rep for help.

I know ... i do know his phone number and also his location ( found it in his information page and also whitebook ) so i was thinking of contacting him and asking for the CD keys and if he can give me a copy of his license in case i needed to fax something to blizzard in the future...
things that i think would probably protect me,
1)getting the cd keys
2)copy of his licence
3)calling blizzard to change home address and phone number
4) getting an authenticator
i dont know if any of these would prevend him from getting the account back  please let me know what you think.
24 view and only one reply... please guys i can really use some help here ![]()
Assuming that you have his contact information? If something happens with the account, contact him or go home to him and talk to him about the
incident?
OT: Why on earth pay that much for an account?

Hahahah, you know his phone number? That means his real life name and all that shit? Haha, great, you can really screw his life if he recall the account or something. : D
You also know where he live = rapestick with spikes on it, abuse him with it if he do anything.
Unless that info he gave you are FALSE you're pretty much secured. But if it IS false then.. I don't know, you never saw him in that house I guess? Then he might just have said something random, closeby.
well when i searched the name in whitebook it did give me the exact same location as the one in account's information page so i think its correct , im planning to make an excuse and go there to his location to see if its the right addres or not.
Reason i payed that much is account has 3 lvl 80s on it ICC geared plus Spectra tiger mount which is around 850~900$ on ebay and couple of other rare drop items plus 20k gold so it was a pretty good deal , im currently usuing the account and everything seems to be okay but im just worried he gets the account back sometime in the future and i cant do anything about it...
well yea i talked to him over the phone , his cellphone and we met in applestore and yea i believe the info on the account is his real name and address but HOW can i possibly screw his life is he recall the account... ?!!he can simply call the cops and get me out of the area...
I was thinking of getting another account with his name/my address , tranfer all the toons to the new account and ask blizzard to bann the first account that would lower the risk of recall what do you think ?
but it will cost money for the transfers and new cd keys...
confused....![]()
Contact him and ask if you can get the CD Key and picture of license. I do not think he's going to recall accounts tbh. But it is the best and be on the safe side![]()
best option is to do this: get some new cd keys over time; xfer the characters over and keep time on the old account for 1 month at minimum and keep some low levels or raise a dk to 65; this shows you didnt ditch it to blizzard = when talknig to them they are less likely to the reversal
Here is what you want to do bud, to maximize your security.
The guy could recall tomorrow or in a year and there is not much thing you could do, never buy an account with cash, always use a credit card on paypal.
First step - You wanna call the dude and get him to send you a scan of his driver license, that will allow you to recover the account in case it get locked, this is very important.
It wont prevent him from recalling, but if you were to screw up sometime you could loose the account forever.
Second step - Transfer the stuff to a new account plain and simple, use the address provided on is I.D, short term this offer little security as it is reversible. Over time trough, the security increase and blizzard will be less willing to reverse the account x-fer.
Third step ( Optional ) - If you manage to get step one and two down, you can further protect yourself by putting a lock on the original account, for putting that lock, you will need to send in a fake recovery form for the original account ( http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/othe...t_Recovery.pdf ). You need to manipulate the I.D so that it look blatantly photoshoped, they will automatically put a notary lock on the account. While the account is still recoverable, the OO would have to go to great length in order to pull it off IE see this form : http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/othe..._Notarized.pdf.
Goodluck!!
Edit: If you get screwed over, suck it up. Doing anything Irl to ''screw'' his life will only get you into trouble. Learn the lesson and only buy from reputable website/brookers who offer guarantees.
