So, I'm starting up TWW and I have downloaded your addon properly, I believe. Not 100% sure if I'm using it properly. Is there a profile to assist in leveling 70-80? Also, when I click on "War Within Preparation" I get a few errors including things like " RXPGuides - Error trying to include guide: RestedXP The War Within\0) How To Use & Essential Tips

It then lists the next 4 selections in the The War Within drop down and wont load any of it. The Addon quest box remains empty. Now it does work when I select Max Level Campaign (80) profile, but as I am starting up for the first time since the last xpac, I am only 70.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Why does no one mention what software they’re using to extract files? I keep seeing people intentionally use the wrong software after I’ve told them that Windows Extractor doesn’t work. Then they use it anyway and complain that it doesn’t work.

When using 7-Zip, it gives an error, what’s going wrong?

I think it goes without saying but I am facing the same issue. I noticed recently it had outdated from the previous way we add it to our addons but also that you had edited the main OP

I have also done the following -

Installed 7-zip
Found the file via "extract" (found it in my downloads folder > extracted it)
Extracted it to my classic era/addons and although it is showing as it's in the folder, it's not actually doing anything. If I also go to open the folder it says the same error, saying it doesn't have permission

I have also gone over the whole uninstalling/installing the original RXP again as well

Scratch that I found an easier fix for those with the error also

- Please download "winrar" and do the following

Download via the link in the first post of this thread
Once downloaded find the folder in your downloads folder on your computer
Open it in winrar and you will have something like the image below -

If this is correct, then click "extract to" and go into your wow folder via your program files/wow folder and add it to the addons page like you normally would

You install the addon
You extract my file with 7zip to the addons directory
Thats it

People keep on installing it to the wrong place after I have said the addons directory and then complain it does not work.

I've never had any issue getting these guides to work. But for for some reason it doesnt work. I get the 20+ guides for SoD but not any 1-20 guides for SoD.

I've always used winrar to unpack. But this time i also tried 7zip. I dont get any errors or anything.

Or is it as simple as that there are no 1-20 guides for SoD?

Does not work and does not say why.

It has worked for everyone but the people that intentionally install it to the wrong place.
Then comes and makes a post to say it does not work.
Then installs it to the addons folder, does work and has nothing to say.

When checking the diff guides. There are no 1-20 guides for Classic versions in the zip folder.

What has happened is that you used to include the 1-20 guides in ur folder. But they arent there now anymore. So had to get the "free" guides from another source

Well, if you already knew, why would you even ask?
But the reality is, many people know the solution and still ask. For example, guides don’t work – why? No reply. I tell them where to install the file and what to extract it with, but people still deliberately use the wrong software, extract everything to the wrong folder, and then spend hours complaining when it doesn’t work. They refuse to follow the instructions that should work.

You just quoted the error in the addon, not in my file.
Also, did you update the addon? Or don’t you know if it was updated? Do you know the version you’re using? Because a lot of people intentionally avoid updating and then complain when things don’t work.

Hold up. I haven’t added the free guides to my file in over six months, and honestly, why should I? The guides are free, and they’re already available with the addon. What’s the point of adding something you can get from another source? No one who says what you’re saying has been able to explain it.

Are you telling me that you deleted the guides? Why would you do that?

Is it really that difficult to install the addon? Extract my file to the addons folder, and that’s it.

But it seems like some people find that impossible. Then they come back and complain that the file doesn’t work or that the guides are missing. After they’ve deleted them. After they’ve failed to update the addon. After they’ve installed it in the wrong place.

Then, they spend hours complaining when all they had to do was follow two simple steps.

The instructions say

Extract to the Addons folder, that’s it.

Why are people not doing that and doing something else. Then post it does not work.

Calm down; I did see you angry since some people may be doing wrong in purpose to say that your " addon " is fake, but I'm asking cause some posts from Reddit 2/3 years ago were saying that you should delete the leveling guides in the " Guide " folder Rested, then, replace with the folders that you download. I'll just extract into the addons folder and tell If works, okay? Don't be rude on me

The first post says what to do did you do it?
I said what to do did you do it clearly not

People intentionally use the wrong software download it wrong and installed the wrong place.

Then they spent hours harassing assaulting and abusing me up to 36 hours.

Or because they refused to do the simple one thing.

So if it doesn’t work, you cannot blame me for your own actions.
I told you what to do it is up to you to do it

Oh you saw an emotion I was not using but you claim it was based on yourself.

I laugh because a 6 year old can follow 1 instruction but people on here that cannot do it.

6 year old never had any issues.
