Hi BlueRainsky. I just wanted to give you a big thanks to keeping this updated constantly. Don't let the people who don't know basic folder structures drag you down. It's crazy how some people find extracting contents from a compressed archive so difficult or impossible to do.
KuRIoS is awesome!
Hey I've just tried using this and I get the following Lua Error in WoW:
Message: Interface/AddOns/RXPGuides/RXPGuides-Classic.toc:41 Couldn't open Interface/AddOns/RXPGuides/Guides/GuideList-classic.xml
Time: Tue Feb 4 16:21:36 2025
Count: 2
I followed the steps as mentioned.
Can anyone direct me to the full RestedXP "Guides" zip that was recently uploaded on Page 1 by Blue? The previous link on Page 1 had it, but now the link has been replaced with a "RXPCampaigns" rar file. I just play Wow Classic - Hardcode, so I am not sure the campaign link tailors to what I am playing. I just updated to the latest RestedXP version via Curse (v4.4.62), and it stripped the original Guide's data I had from a recent update Blue uploaded on Page 1 last month. I did find a much older zip file of the guides I had downloaded but that is obviously now out of date.
Yes, I have scrolled through several pages/posts trying to find out how to get the original Guides folder back, to no avail, as there was an update in mid-January that is no longer on Page #1 .
I am fully aware of how to download/extract the data. I just no longer have that most recent file to manipulate.
Lastly, do I need the "RXPCampaigns" if I just play Wow Classic HC?
Thanks in advance.

You say "You extract it.." but what that is?! is what I am getting at. I am not having the issue you keep advocating people are having; as I indicating I am fully aware of how to extract a .rar file.
Are you indicating this new "RXPCampaigns" zipped file is the complete "Guides" overhaul excluded from the original method of having to extract and copy a full RestedXP Addon folder into \World of Warcraft\_classic_era_\Interface\AddOns\RXPGuides\Guides\ repository?
If so, cool beans, as I have both extracted and enabled at boot up.
If not, than that is where my original post is still inquiring.

I am fully aware of what Page 1 says, I am also fully aware of what Page 1 originally said, which was to Extract the RestedXP folder to World of Warcraft\_classic_era_\Interface\AddOns\RXPGuides\Guides\ and all updates were to simply overwrite the "Guides" folder within "RestedXP."
So just because it now says to extract this completely new/renamed folder to the root of the Addons directory isn't as clear as you think it is, when people are used to having to update the RestedXP folder.
A small token on page 1 to your community saying something like... "Hey guys, I have updated my customizations with a method of utilizing the full content of the RestedXP guides after 20 with a new folder name and file structure..." it would save you the time on getting irritated with people who are just trying to validate and make sense of this new method.
Considering also as the bottom of that same page you are referring to - says "RXP easy update > Backup the guides folder > update the addon how you prefer > copy guides folder back."

You clearly aren't reading with comprehension. Not once did I ask you "HOW to install an Addon." Not once did I asked you "HOW to extract a .rar File." The amount of effort you put into trying to make someone look dumb, could be avoided by simply providing enough information to avoid questions.
1. The file changed, however, advise me on page one where you adjusted instructions?
2. I didn't ask you for any full direct path or drive letter (petty). I simply asked is this new folder now the method of updating the "RestedXP Guides" directory that was originally the method of updating and getting full access to content.
3. Again, you are talking about information that is not within the context of my posts. (Waste of typing)
Let me spell it out a bit slower for you.
1. Is the new method to now simply depend on updating the base 'RestedXP' Addon directly from Curse and not even caring about the sub-directory "Guides" anymore and...
2. Simply download your new 'RXPCampaigns' folder and extract that at the root of Addons with the understanding your updated content will be in a separate directory from the vendor 'RestedXP' directory with all future tweaks and updates? And we do not have to worry about tweaking the "Addons\RestedXP\Guides" sub-folder going forward.
It's a simple, yes or no, and if no, what I am missing as its not spelled out on page 1?
Lastly, I appreciate offering up this service to your community, but the irritation you write out is a waste of energy and not helpful at all. And if you are tired of repeating yourself, clearly that is a reason to include enough information on page one to avoid it all?!

[QUOTE=wimbogaming;4543167]Yes, I can clearly see you lack comprehension of plain English....
Says someone that has bad grammar and racist like you.
