Hello. I'm trying to download RXP and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm not even able to get to the part to "Extract All". Whenever I download the guide from the link it only shows as a Firefox link, and when i open it, it will open in Firefox and ask me to save it again. Again, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but any help would be much appreciated.

Do you actually have any software installed that will allow you to extract the files? It sounds like your system doesn't know how to open the .rar
Download something like 7zip or, if you're on Windows 11, Nanazip.
Open 'Guides' folder that you just downloaded and extract all of the contents within it into the RXPGuides folder that is located in your Addons folder - allow it to overwrite the current contents when prompted.

I agree, I suggest 7zip
But people think the .rar is a .zip file.

For some reason, some software that extracts .rar does not extract it fully. When 7zip is free and has no issues.

I tell people to extract it, but instead they put it in the folder I extracted.
I tell them to overwrite the files, they choose not to and wonder why it does not work.

If people actually followed the simple instructions

Install addon via curseforge updater
Download guides add to RXP folder and overwrite.

Then there would be no issues at all.

But people claim they did the exact thing and does not work.
Then prove they did not.

If people would just follow the simple instructions, there is no issue.

People say not tech savvy, no issues. Then how did they install the game and play it. But cannot install 1 file, install addon and extract 1 file and put in a folder and replace.

Nevermind the below, I can confirm addon working again after full WTF / Addons delete and following the guidance from 1st page

Seems it's not working as of today (above level 20). Worked last week and yesterday as well (above level 20).
Tried full reset (deletion and install / import again) but still not working.
(Classic Anniversary servers)

Well seeing you do not say what os or what software you are using. That is going to be hard to guess.

How can people have an issue, update add and extract file to the folder.

But then people keep on saying it does not work because they did not do what I said.

So I say extract it to the addons folder, that's it.

But you want a step by step on how to do that?

So you not installed an addon to the addon directory before?

Download file
Google search 7zip
Go to link
Find download link
Download 7zip
Double click the .exe file
Press next to install and finish.
Double click my file
Extrract to
World of Warcraft\_classic_\Interface\AddOns

As for everyone else. Just extract it to Interface\AddOns as I said to.

Did that aint working. I asked for a step by step because im seeing other posts about deleting something from the wtf folder and nothings working im opening the game and its just the 1-26 guide.

That is why I changed the file.

I say to people "extract" it to the location
They say they did that.
Then come back with, they put the .rar in the addons folder and wonder why it does not work.

Did you make sure the addon is actually enabled? It seems like others expect it to work without realizing it's turned off.
