It is all just the same addon for Classic, Wrath, and Retail now instead of individual addons for each version?

Well, the actual addon is the same for all. So instead of posting 3 of the same thing, it is easier to post 1 file instead.

Would be appreciate and help full if you'd add a description to each download to avoid confusion.

For Example:



RXP Link - RestedXP guides for Classic Era, WotLK and Retail. Does not work on old 1.12 Vanilla private servers, works only on Blizzard servers.

Classic Everlook Link - Link for RestedXP for Everlook private server as well as, Zygor(Classic and TBC) guides for private servers.
Everlook Installer Link - Not guide or addon. this is a link for game Launcher Everlook private server.

These are just examples, I don't really know what Everlook links provide nor do I have interest in private realms. But would be appreciate to avoid confusion for people who are here just for RXP addon.
If we're being honest not sure why we link and support private servers in a thread for a addon/guide for leveling. The thread/post at the end of the day is named RéstédXP people come here for that, nothing else. We don't need 3 download links.

Well why would people think that RXP would work on Vanilla? It was never designed for vanilla and people use a Proxy to scale Vanilla to classic, so it does work.
Well people want everlook, they look for the everlook in the Private servers.
Everlook is an installer, that is why it says installer and does not say guide or addon because it is not one.

Here is my issue, I post FAQ, I post so many details and people just hit and run. They take it and say nothing. But the only time they say something is when it does not work because they did not install it right. Then they say something, get it working, and never seen again.

So I have to use even more of my time, that I do not get back. To add more information for people that hit and run because they do not know what they are doing. But when it is provided, they still do not read it.

Not sure why I link a private server? I link it because people asked for it and the addon for it.
So it should be, post RXP for the addon and nothing else? Then what happens? They use the addon on the wrong private server client and then post after post after post, saying what I spent way too much time on to make, does not even work.

Or I can provide the right client, the right file and they get it working.

@Sandvicharq Working on TBC. It does work and thanks for that. I just need to have it all enabled and I will probably re-do the Everlook one as well.

The stormforge RXP doesn't seem to work on Felmyst TBC, it shows up in the addon list but nothing appears in game.

Are you using Hermes Proxy on Felmyst?

So if the basic 2.4.3 client, then it does not work.
Using Hermes on a 2.4.3 client, would make new API addons work.

But for Stormforge, I used Classic TBC and uses Hermes Proxy and that worked fine.

As Stormforge uses the original TBC or Classic TBC.

Got hermes working and I see the realmlist, but it gets stuck on logging into game server when i select a realm. I guess that's something server side thats stopping me?

I hope someone here knows. As personally I do not play classic or on private servers.

Hi, so i'm a complete noob and i'm trying my hardest to understand this.

So I wanted to make this work for WoW classic, I mainly use CurseForge for my ad-ons. Can some give me a step-by-step guide on how to make this work?

I installed RestedXP on CurseForge. Downloaded your file and extracted the entire thing into the addons folder, then I went to the variabes folder and deleted the 2 "RXP" variables for both variable folders.

Got in-game and nothing had changed, please help.
