And you're 105% sure you didn't have any keyloggers or such on your computer...?
Created a fresh email address and battle net account on may 10th, played on character for an hour or so. Flew back to work on the 11th in the morning so didn't get a chance to play anymore. Didn't use the email address for anything at all was not similar to anything I had used before, password was completely different aswell.
May 19th received email from blizz about a password change, approximately 12 hours latest I receive an email about account closure violation of terms of use, spamming chat. Checked email today and started to retrieve account. Changed passwords and added authenticator. Hopefully get unbanned in the next day or two before I get home.
It's just got me stumped how they did it. I literally only used the email address to create the battle net account for one day and then didn't even access the email account until today. Pretty upset with either blizzard or gmail. Coz they were the only ones as well as myself who knew what the email address was.....
And you're 105% sure you didn't have any keyloggers or such on your computer...?
Considering I only built the computer 2 days prior. I highly doubt it. All I've downloaded onto it was firefox and wow. didn't have time to go downloading anything more before I had to come up to work.
So did you have antivirus, firewall, anything?
I have trend micro, and didn't play with firewall settings at all.
Could it maybe have come through the network from one of my other computers? I haven't transferred any files to or from, but can it get infected from just being connected to the network?
Did you create the account from scratch? as buying expansions sets & keys on wow site or in store?
used any services lately? as for instance itemgarden?
