Hmm. Well when I try to use it I get this error. 'Could not create IDirect3DDevice9. Errorcode: 2154. Contact Devs to get more info!' If you could help I would greatly appreciate it. Been wanting to get into model editing for awhile now.

have the DirectX redistributable

have the newest version (22) via the launcher

everytime I start it up it gives me the above quoted error (which was posted on page 12 near the top and got no help)

Tool looks deviously wonderful, and I can't wait to sink my teeth in!!! Any advice or information at all on this error 'Could not create IDirect3DDevice9. Errorcode: 2154. Contact Devs to get more info!' would be greatly appreciated and repped =)

Is the download link broken on the yias.de site? Because after I dl the rar my computer says it contains no archives.
Nevermind it was BitTorrent's fault I had to right click and press save as... DUH!

It's in the readme file as far as I know. It's also been answered a couple of times in the thread already. You need to download the file and place it in your yiasedit folder (search for it on Google or something)

now I'm led onto my next question...

Would it be possible for a low-res version of the editor to be made, one that doesn't require shader 3.0? As you can probably tell I don't even have a clue what the difference between shader 3.0 and shader 2.0 is... better quality I imagine but nothing that would stop the editor from functioning were it without it?
