[Question] About helm fixes

Hey members of MMOWNED I have a few questions that I would like to get answered any help is taken kindly:

1. What is a helm fix? Does it affect the face textures or just the helms size and compatability with the race's model?

2. If a helm fix doesn't work for a race to race change, (eg. my biggest problem NE---> to Tauren male) how do I change what the face looks like?

Yes helm fix does sound tricky. The reason it doesn't "work" from NE to Tauren, is that helmets are models themselves, and each race have matching models to fit their heads. The only thing a helm fix does is swap, in your case, the NE helm models for the tauren helm models.

So really with a helmet fix im just covering up my tauren's nasty face, the face doesn't change at all? Thanks for answering my previous post. IS there a way to change what my new tauren's face looks like?

With a helmet fix your helmets will just be adjusted to the tauren head. Changin the taurens face u hvae to rename .blp files and play along with that sortof thing into what u want.

Ok I have followed Teufel's http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...o-another.html ([Guide] How to: Change your Race into another) guide and I have followed http://www.mmowned.com/forums/model-...ir-tauren.html however neither have gotten rid of the white hair texture or helped to change the face at all. So if anybody could tell me how and what do to. I don't care what the tauren face looks like just as long as the face looks like it could be a tauren. Plz I know you pros are out there that have fixed their taurens faces.

I am currently working/playing with doing Blood Elves to Taurens... (Tauren Rogue FTW ^..~) anyways. I have the Male working just fine, turns all male blood elves to black Tauren with my horn style choice. I may post it in the near future once I figure out why the females still have white hair and wrong textures on their faces. Currently it seems that their extra skin (hair, hooves, tail, etc) are not being assigned. Additionally it also seems like their facial features are being assigned to their horns (IE. I can see the mouth skin on their horns...). I need to work with it a little more in the coming week but once I get it all correct I will be making a simple blood elf - tauren male&female post... Note: One thing to notice is that I left the boots as were, they actually wrap around the hoof instead of just being covers now...

Lol that is what i am looking for how did you get the horns right? plz PM or tell me and if anybody else knows how TaurenMoo did that plz tell me
