hheheh well the particles i want on are the same as on those pala shoulders .. forgot the name .. but instead of you doing it isn't there any change of you teaching me how to do it myself ?? :3
read first post ;D .. i used maya for the 3d and photoshop for the texture .. but to do the actual converting i use loads of programs (check the guides section for more details on that)
well ill do something in a dragon theme next time xD
well i have a design that matches this sword in an other thread and ill be probably making that one aswell
@bubble: that name isn't even so bad .... but an'she and apollo are kinda catchy so i think ill go with one of those or "mighty face of mightiness" ;D
btw i god its alpha map to work.. now i only need to make it shiny :O .. hmm does it matter if i used a lambart material or a speciular material in max ... does he that that in account when converting ?

oke i ran into a problem .. it doesnt work that well in game .. well the alpha mapping does but my texture turns out black .. i have been working on it with soul by indexing the texture and stuff like that but nothing seems to work :/
sooo if anyone knows something that can help plz let me know

Detatch all the parts that require "transparency" and group them up as one mesh.
Texture the shield like normal, and the the transparency texturing on the other parts. When you export it and convert it, open M2 modder and make sure it requires the 2 textures seperately. Try that![]()

I think you have to make it like 512x512 ore 256x256 and nothing higher then that?

If your still on, I know your problem
Your model is the problem, I imported your 3DS file of the shield, and guess what it contains:
as you see on the screenie, the faces are all black. You got the same problem as me every time when I make a moel ^^ I always get black faces and the only solution is that I need to flip normals then, but see it as a pancake, above you see the texture, but under it not. If you flip normals, then above you would see black, and under you see the texture of it.
Only there's one problem with your model. I can't seem to flip normals on the black model :S I dunnow how you modeled it, but unless you know a way to fix yer black model there isn't anything basically what you could do to fix it.

i did that... and it does have 2 textures so i really have no idea whats going on .. and its so stupid it works perfectly in modelviewer.
it is 512x512 72dpi so there shouldn't be any problems
hehe well jah its not the normals .. i tryed flipping then but it didn't budge .. now it was black .... but inverted xD
