RaF Grind 1-80 Icecrown "new" location.

How do you guys get your low lvl in Icecrown? If I use "summon friend" or any form of summon it gives me "invalid target" all the time.

I used this a couple months back, amazing spot... saves alot of time of moving around once you've out leveled a zone after 5 mins when doing RaF.

For those unsure how to get their low lvl chars to ICC, the simplest way is to take the zeppelin from Org (or ally equivalent) and then use a RaF mount or other 2 player mount to fly to the spot. Not too much hassle as you only have to do it once.

It seems no. As long as your high lvl has mobs within hes lvl range, the boosted character will get x3 experience anyway.
It's also strange that, even though it says maximum xp is 300%, you can exceed it by a lot if you have heirlooms, guild perk, banner, the 100%+ xp elixir, and even rested counts. ( if I use these, I get +3 lvls ahead of my boosted raf partner )



LATER EDIT: Ok so it seems it's fixed(?!) now on EU. My raf partner gets only 6 exp per kill. We do it cross realm though, might that be a problem?

How long would this take? Also I don't get how it's 1-80 because you won't get exp for that high level?

I did this last night getting 6exp at 1-3 I stopped there for the night, no heirlooms just guild buff and guild banner, but I believe as it was said before its a % each kill, so I figure 160 about kills alevel and it should stay that way all the way to 80.

Not the for lowest level char no, but if you were levelling 2 toons the higher must be within 3 levels of the lower to get the perk.

Thats a bug that we sometimes see in a raid with a warlock aswell. Try abandoning and regrouping.

Took me a smidge above 12hours at best but then I didn't have the Hierlooms legs, the xp pot or darkmoon thingies, monk xp buff, etc, etc, people have managed in less aswell.

My booster was a lvl 85 prot paladin, but the boosted character was only lvl 3. Even so, a full room clear gave him 1 lvl. I'll try to do it later when I get at least lvl 10 on the boosted character and report back. Good to know the xp gain increases . Thx for the info.

Yea, you will see quite rapid increase as your boosted toon levels up. At lvl 70+ its gets near 1k and over. A levelled Monk with its 50% XP buff should be insane if done in 1h bursts. Maybe less then 9 hours?

If you are boosting two RAF chars it might be worth doing 1-20ish by two boxing as those lvls are slower, but it definitely picks up rapidly.

I dont know tbh. There was a report of a lvl 86 working just as good as a lvl 85, but that wasen't me so I cant vouch for it. A lvl 87 might be pushing it id say.

Anyone tried this with a booster from another realm
Only 80-85's i have are on a different real to the ones i want to raf boost.
Had a quick go just before maintenance last night and got my 85 DK there along with my lvl 32 raf toons from a different realm (different data center as well)
but the lowbies and the booster couldn't see each other despite the map saying there where standing on top of each other
and when i did a test pull of course the RAF toons got no xp as they where in a different phase / realm to my booster

I did this X-realm so can confirm that it works, low chars just get CRZed to the boosters realm. Phasing is a possible issue as I was using a fresh lvl 80 hunter to boost so he hadn't done any of the questing in that area.

@Supremeoem I think the XP drops off quite quickly once your booster goes past 85, the lower lvl the better in this case.
