Swapping newly dropped BoP items with friend

This guide involves *scamming* a GM, if you are not fine with it, do leave.

The title might be misleading, but it was the best I could come up with.

Basically, I will try to write this as easy as possible to make it understandable. I will make up two people, person 1 & person 2.

    Instructions;

Person 1 (example: priest) and person 2 (example: warrior) both played VoA, but in different raid (different ID).

However, when person 1 (priest) was playing VoA, it dropped a pair of warrior gloves, and there was no warrior in raid. So instead person 1, the priest, takes the gloves.

After the raid, person 1 writes a ticket to a GM saying; "I gave wrong item to wrong person. Blablabla yadayada. Person 2 should have the gloves.".

The GM will simply tell you to wait, and then accept it, ask you to remove it- and send it to the other player, in this case person 2, even when he wasn't in the specific raid.

    --

I'm sure this can be used inside other instances aswell, but this has been the only place I've tried it, and it has worked two out of two times. Both players were locked, and I think that is the only thing limiting Blizzards ability to give out items. They obviously wasn't checing the raid ID.

Questions and feedback are highly appreciated!

You have to provide name of the characters involved, date, time and raid id.

The two times I did it, no need for raid id. Both players made an ticket, date & time. That was it. GMs never asked anything, just performed by the information I gave.

This never worked back in the lvl60 days, nor in the lvl70 days (not for me anyway). I remember once, they wouldn't swap some plate boots that was dropped on trash in karazhan for a warrior that was in the same raid (bugged mob).

Since I was having problems getting the topic together, I searched for many different things, care to help out finding it? But if you'd rather just point fingers, go ahead. :hsugh:

I did this once in Sunken temple awhile ago when I was running myself through to get my 49 shaman twink geared. My shaman was just outside the loot area when I killed the boss and the boots I need dropped so I just asked a gm and he sent it to my other account.

Dunno if you read the post, but yes, the GM will ask both the giver and the reciever (don't think of something funny nao ), that's why it has to be your friend.

I've tried it, don't work gm checked the Raid ID.
He told me that we need to be in the same raid bind to ask a loot change. ( raid id )

Anyway, we've tryed to clear some naxx bosses, then swap some ppl, kill another boss ( allow the new guy to bind in the raid ), and ask to a gm to swap items that was wrong assigned by the RL. ( )

The guy that joined half run got the loot of the first boss.
