There is a new addition to the recall secure method that Hasselhoff introduced to me via PM. He said that after changing the scammed account's email to yours, send an email to Account Administration, and say something like this:

"Wtf Blizz, I just got kicked off and I get this email saying I'm banned. All I did was download this program [insert program name here...I'll use MountainClimber]. I started it for like a few seconds, it kicked me off, told me to check my email, and now I'm banned. Dude seriously wtf is going on, unban me please. If I shouldn't have used MountainClimber then I won't use it again but just unban me.

I now understand everyone's complaints about Blizzard's terrible customer service. You better fix this fast."

First off, please do not use this email word-for-word. Do not send them an email saying this. Just say something LIKE this. Sound angry, irritated, and admit to using some sort of program. Anyway, the genius of this is that if they send in an email saying they were hacked, they probably won't believe them since they keep all emails they get from everyone and would just pull up the original email they got from them.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Also, I just updated the recall section, so it makes a bit more sense to new scammers and other people not experienced with recalls in general.

I'd like to say that the guide is now pretty much in its final form. I feel satisfied that it has all the information that I'd like to put into it at this time.

Although, I'll almost definitely keep putting in small edits here and there. Most likely, there will be no large additions to any of this information (unless Blizzard releases a new policy change/interpretation).

I know a lot about WoW and Blizzard, but almost all of this knowledge applies to WoW US. That means that if you play WoW EU, information in this guide may be incorrect regarding you and your account. If you play WoW US, then you're fine, but if you find anything odd in this guide, keep in mind that it's directed towards US players. I have actually given incorrect information to many WoW EU players asking for advice from me. From now on, I will not be giving advice (unless it's simple advice) to anyone who is not US, as my info may be wrong for you EU players. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it's very much like a defense lawyer from Ohio to suddenly start defending clients in California. The laws are very, very different, and a great experienced lawyer in Ohio will essentially be a newbie to law in California.

    Sorry.

Does Blizz do IP bans? And can they ban you on the subscriber of the accounts info? :s

Abra su mente a la realidad.
Do NOT contact me about trading section stuff. Contact a section MOD instead.

I already explained that in the guide.

Does Blizzard do IP bans? For the most part, no, although they may use IPs to link gold farming companies.

They will sometimes ban by payment info/email if the offense is serious enough. Just make sure all your accounts have different emails and different credit cards (or game cards) and you'll be fine.

Any way to get my forum account unbanned?

Recently the greatest hunter and pvper ever was banned from the forums, and i ended up /signing several petitions to have him unbanned, then because the threads were getting mass deleted i made a post telling everyone to go to the general forums(To shed more light upon the topic)

Its odd too, supposedly a Permanent ban, yet the person i was trying to get reinstated forum rights to only got a "Temporary Suspension" (Found it rather odd how they deleted every post he made though, including about 10 remarkable guides)

I have a question: If you are found playing a private server, are you liable to be banned? Taking into account that Blizzard can ban your account at any time with or without reason, I would pursue it to the ends of the earth if they did it for no reason. I can't find anywhere in the EUA or TOU a statement you can't play other servers, simply that you cannot emulate it.

The ToU does not list every single possible offense.

Playing on private servers is technically against the rules, but they really have no way to tell if you've been playing on a private server and I don't think they've ever banned someone just for playing on them.

Honestly, how would they tell you were playing on a private server?

Hey, my friend just got my char banned for making a guild with a "highly sexually innapropriate guild name" I got an email saying I'm suspended, and I've never had a ban before, yet when I log in it says the account is closed.

Do you know what type of ban I will most likely be receiving? I got an email from blizz saying they are doing further investigations :\.
