[Discussion] Horde or Alliance?

I'm fine with both factions, as I have a main on each.

Horde though, seem to be all "ZOMGZ YOU HAVE A ALLY U NOOB!"

I prefer Horde. Alliance players tend to be more casual, while Horde players are generally more serious about the game.

Pre BC they were , but with those stupid BE horde got MANY (and i mean many) noobs !

Started as a gnome warlock, and man the enviroment is such better at the alliance side. You actually enjoy being in SW/IF.
Sold my little gnome and later I re-rolled hordie.
I chose the coolest race in the game, Undead, and again warlock. I have to say that the races on the horde feels cooler than alliance. We are evil!
Though I really HATE the horde major cities. I mean man, c'mon, one stinky town full of corpses, one town on frickin' islands full of moo-moos, one town with rocks and fires, and now silvermoon, well If you don't get lost there then THAT'S a miracle.
If there would be a better alliance race for warlock than gnome or human I would played alliance.
As for the people, same people. There are some nice guys, and some who call you "Naaaabb" and think that they are the "Überskillzorguys".

i play horde, lvl 70, pvper, never been in a serious raid (raided SW once tho ) but atleast at the server i play on, hordes pvp, 1v1 if they can, allies, seem to group up, which is ofc a smart thing to do, but for me (and other hordies) i find it more fun with 1v1, as that shows YOUR skill, not the healers gear, what pots you use, how many buffs you have or whatever, also, i dont like the arena too much, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5...? i know blizz likes the allies to have their beloved teamwork and teamspeak, but why didnt they add 1v1 arena? oh well, i guess i can keep AVing, eventho, i miss lvl 60, being able to kill dr00ds and warriors.. oh well, and btw, if you think blizz likes horde better than allies, make a lvl 1 ally, go to orgrimmar, and get hit by the guards, they hit for about 150-250, now, make a horde rogue, lvl it to 70, get 7 pvp epixx, get hit by the stormwind guards for 750+.

Some very good posts appearing here, it's true about the 1v1 arena that would be awesome, not going to go off topic though. My WoW acc was banned recently ^^ so I've not played for around a month but I'm going to start again once WotLK comes out, no idea what I'll play though. I'm pretty sure I'll be Alliance, I started as Alliance and all of my friends are on Alliance, it would just be too hard to leave them all. I might just make an NE Priest again or might try another class or race. What do you reckon I should roll? (NO GNOMES)

In my opinion a good class/race combo is Human Paladin..

When I was alliance I hated it, got to 70, got bored, rolled Horde and its the best thing I've done. I feel more 'patriotic' to the Horde (sad I know).
We own, in my battlegroup in AB 70% of the time. WSG 100% of the time, AV 40% and EotS 60%. (Statistics are my estimate from expirience in BG's)

Personally I prefer Horde over Alliance, few reasons.
1. I like the way the Horde looks. I'm not saying that Alliance looks bad, but heh, it's not original...humans, purple humans, small humans, tiny humans...and draenei...I don't know, I just don't like them.
2. Out of my experience, I've met less kids on the Horde side. Played both, and well, the majority of the server I was playing (low levels, atleast) were mostly kids with horrible english. But yes, Horde has kids as well. Not as much as Alliance though, and once again, my personal experience.
3. Alot of Alliance quests include tasks like "talk to x then talk to y to get z", Horde quests involve more killing (and ofc, there are talking quests as well but not as much imho).
4. Undead and Tauren, being my favourite races, are Horde. ; )
