Taking money out of guild bank

    Hey,

I could use a little word of advice (opreferably based on experience).

So the story is: I'm in a bank alt guild which is now abandoned, most ppl haven't logged in for months so the guild system told me I could take ownership of the guild.
I did so. There's a small fortune (100k+) in the guild bank. What you guys reckon would be the safest way to remove it, without getting banned?

    A) /gdisband and collect money from mailbox
    B) kick ppl from the guild, take the money out and /gdisband
    C) give every member a right to withdraw 100k+ money from the guild bank, promote someone in the guild as GM, take the money and bail

Any ideas or toughts are welcome, thanks in advance.

    What level is the guild?

If the guild is a decent level I would suggest just kick everyone out. You can even kick people out in smaller batches if it makes you feel more comfortable. While Blizzard will intervene if it seems like someone just "ninjaed" the guild bank, you have full authority to kick whoever you want from your new guild.

After everyone else is gone, there will be no one left to complain about you taking the gold. Also as a bonus, if the guild itself has a few levels on it, then you can probably turn around and sell that for additional profit.

    Heya, thanks for the answer.

It's a level 1 bank, which haven't been used for a while. As I've said the "most currently" logged on person apart from me, was online a month ago, so it's barely in use.

I was just wondering cos I've read ppl being banned and stuff for withdrawing money from the guildbank. OR if someone comes back from the guild and makes a ticket, etc.

Scamming policy goes against guild bank theft but since I became the new GM, I wouldn't say it's a theft as the rest of the guys barely use it for anything.

But yeah I'll prolly kick the rest and take what's left. :P

It's not theft as long as you dethroned the previous guild master. You should just dethrone and kick everyone.

This happened to me aswell. Kinda same situation just only with 27k gold.
I got the gm status. Kicked everyone. Withdrew the gold and afterwards disbanded the guild.
Never heard a complain at all since nobody knows what happened anyways.
