15$ isn't shit to get as a child. coming from a rural neighborhood asking mom and dad for 15$/month wasn't a problem. inner city "You gotta work for your cash" who would be playing ... already do. 100$/week and spending it on frivolous crap is just the same. There is a greater money flowing around hence the inflated prices of products vs the dollar 20 years ago.

Okay, let me clarify "Squeeky Voices". He basically means every poor, fat ass, living in a trailer park will join the game or every little kid from xboxlive will join and drop their 20 dollar subscriptions. If you have played on any server other than yours(unless your ally), you would find that there are about 5 squeeky voices per eh, 400-500 people? There's probably like 10 Squeeky voices on a server if you think of it that way. Really though, stay on topic. This would be a bad idea cause they would also LOSE more people than they gain. For example, there has been like 2 positives and 500000000000000 negatives on this thread alone, but your still saying that more people would join WoW? Use some logic, more people would quit. 15 dollars is enough in this recession, I'm not going to stop paying 15 dollars and start paying for 100$ mounts, dungeons, and gear. Like SM411 said, "retail goes private server? I hope not!" People would stop donating to private servers and start donating for retail. But thats still about 2million of the people right now and about 75%~80% of the population would easily quit. Actually, I don't think half the people playing private servers would buy shit from regular F2P WoW cause it would suck so much dick. WoW is never going to be F2P.

Well once retail is free i will be happy because frankly i cant afford the 15$ yet barely pay for the internet bill, somtimes i have to save up 2 months to pay 1 months bill. It sucks being broke as ****. But i do agree once Wow gets the F2P its going to suck so much , Spam, Kidies, Rapist, and Pedophiles ! I'm sorry to say but all the people who are saying "If WoW goes free, I'm quitting" for one lets put something in perspective. Heroes of Newerth (HoN) costs money while League of Legends (LoL) does not, yet LoL is better and has a higher player base than HoN, meaning F2P can be a better game. Lets put another thing on the board WoW will still make millions of dollars from realm changes, faction changes etc all the added bonuses would not and plus from the sales of SC2 and Diablo 3 that are soon to be released I think they will have the money to continue to support and update WoW as much as they do now because I can see alot of people buying accounts ($100) to play WoW without a monthly fee.

Having it P2P makes it exclusive. I would be very disappointed to see it go F2P as many more people will join and perhaps, unbalance the game with their lack of experience and immaturity.

However, Blizzard are currently working on a new MMO, that is apparently new. Not Diablo, Not Starcraft, Not WoW. As they now have Activision Blizzard, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a CoD Based or FPS Based Game. Once that is released, I could definitely see WoW going F2P.

Anyway, It won't happen for a VERY long time, if at all.

ok heres what will happen if they make it f2p or lower the fee they will lose players cause there will be less GM's and less frequent patches and updates(look at D2 how long did it take for 1.13 to come out 5 years or so lol) there would be 10x more noobs than there are now lot more reason but to much to explain anyways this will not happen at least the f2p part a low fee could happen but i hope not ever if you cant afford $15 a month(60 day sub)
