[Cataclysm Beta] Press invites going out!

I like how all the contrib+ are all like "omg gtfo u leechr", as if we dont try to contribute.

I have not seen one contributer mention that to me.

I don't think there is any such thing, It's kinda natural though for people to think the worst about others. There is nothing wrong keeping the private section private, it's kinda obvious it should be, of course being on the outside is never fun for anyone. Besides, there is a quick path to the shared lounge after all, if one wants it that bad.

If the press beta really is coming in a few days, then awesome, then we got a great time ahead.

There won't be an exlclusive "press beta". There are just "press beta invites".
Why exactly should Blizzard hold an extra Beta phase for the press?
The servers would be near empty, they wouldn't get any feedback.

Press just gets their invites ahead of time to get their previews done.
Public invites will follow very soon (Tomorrow).

I even dare to say that the Devchat will end with "Beta starts now"

I obviously missed the word invite in my previous post, but you are right, a few media guys doesn't make a testing environment. Anyhow I stand by my previous post that if all this is indeed happening, we got a good fun 3 months ahead. I wish everyone the best of luck getting an invite the upcoming weeks as well. Otherwise we will have to satisfy ourselves with the likely sandbox version.

I am more inclined to believe the Blizzard reps we have contact with as a official fansite. If something was starting it would be known about in more places than just the MMOwned forums and so I am leaning more towards a fake.

So it is confirmed that beta invites are out? Any clients been leaked yet and I haven't seen a new post go up on any media website as they did when they got their first round of emails in regards to the beta.

No, the beta is not online yet. I heard from a friend on MMOwned that media invites have gone out. No leaks yet
