You have two possibilities:
a) It's bullshit. You get your information once beta starts
b) It's not bullshit. As a "normal" person you won't get any information here, but on the 17th you'll get it about everywhere.

For me it seems like a way to get more contributions and donors (not entirely sure if donors can see private areas).
But if it's true, then great, but I'm going to wait until it becomes more public, which it will, if it has started.

It's not a public beta. Only media companies are receiving invites currently. In the later phases of the beta emails will be sent to ordinary players as well.

Im pretty sure MMowned wouldnt pull something such as that , something this big should be put in privately for millions of people are looking around for this. If it was public there would be an overflow of people getting into it.

Brandon, you are correct. Also the staff at MMOwned do not choose where people release their threads, it's up to the users to decide who they want to give there content to. This person we are referring to specifically choose the shared lounge, which is for donaters + contribs and above. He could of choose this for a variety of reasons, but probably mainly so that nobody can come along and try and leech it.
