Emerald Dream Accessible or Not?

I been to the Emerald Dream with a MPQ file edit. That was back in TBC! I remember people discussing if it was a actual way to get into the Emerald Dream or if it was just a model edit. Ofcourse its still a edit that might have caused a area trigger.
However when people /who'd me they would see the zone's such as Emerald Forest and other zones. Was pretty awesome place to walk arround in.

The Emerald Dream is on a different map though - which changes the whole game. There is no known way to get to a map of your choosing server side as well as client side.
TBH I doubt we will ever get the server side, nothing points to it.

Does this mean you cannot access ED on live servers, or does this also count for emulated servers, where you have gm rights?

Im not sure anyone knows for sure. Lots of things have been found that we thought were impossible. As of right now their is no known way to access without map paq's. My opinion with this is never stop looking or trying. Thats the whole aspect of discovery that brings people back. Im not sure exploration will ever be what it was like in vanilla.

Odd since I had that happen to me a few times but never zoned into ED. Maybe I was just in the wrong part of the boat

You had to be in a raid group for ED to work

The emerald dream is currently only accessible as a "testing" zone, not an actual one with quests and such. It pretty much resembles a zone still in alpha, but you can't mistake it for an unused zone, since there are minor subzones like "The Verdant Fields" and such. Blizzard is obviously planning something for that zone, though I doubt it will be any time soon.

Or perhaps when N'zoth's activity is released, the portals in Duskwood/Winterspring/etc. will open up and players will be able to quest in that zone.
But for now - nothing more than textures, grass and a couple'o trees.
