I participated in this exploit for less than 1 hour. I was banned for 14 days yesterday and I have just checked and it has been extended to 6 months today. I put all of the gold I made in a guild bank and it has also been removed today. This will happen to you guys too, if you still have the gold try to buy a bunch of battle pets that will be easy to resell and learn them. cage them on another wow account and sell them.

Does anyone know how to appeal this? I sent in an appeal and they gave an automated response and any other reply or ticket I put in they now auto close. I actually didn't exploit this and did it by accident by stumbling upon 2 people doing it and killed them for 5 minutes then stopped. I know that sounds like BS but it is the truth. I don't do exploits that are major and could result in ban.

This could change in a future but now Guild Banks are safe ALWAYS if you can recover your gold/items with another legit and clean accounts or friends accounts with characters in your guild.
Than you are lucky because there are alot of people that have reported the removal of golds on their guild banks too just for botting

Open your launcher and hover over the small sub button next to play, you'll see your exact time you'll be unbanned.

I did it for about an hour, but i think i'm one of the "finders" of this exploit, as i found it by myself a few days before it was posted here (i waited a few days to make sure i won't be part of the exploiting mass wave which will get banned, but it was already posted when i wanted to post it.
), but i didn't get a ban
I stopped intentionnaly because i was sure it would be 100% bannable...
I'm sure y'all don't want to get advices, and i don't wanna debate, but be really carefull with this kind of exploits... i exploited a lot in this game since vanilla and with the same account, and i never get a single ban, just don't use and abuse trending exploits :/

It wont be, they would have just perma banned us all instead as they have in the past for exploits. Why bother temp banning us, when they could have just perma banned us instead and washed their hands of us with the same flick of a switch. People say its to investigate, they'd have all the time in the world to investigate if we were perma banned, not giving them a 14 day deadline. On top of that they would have earnt more money because the majority of us would have bought another legion account/sub fee with the expansion being so new.
I have never seen temp bans turned into perma bans, apart from to the guys who spam them with tickets or chargeback their purchases thinking they're clever. Its 14 days, simple as that.

If you want to sent an appeal, I recommend to wait a few more days. The chances of getting unbanned are slim, but currently its like impossible.#
Even when it is tempting as **** to write a ticket.

Writing tickets is not going to help.
Blizzard has gotten very firm on bans, especially for exploiting (that result in a lot of gold earnings) or botting. 0% chance they will unturn your temp ban. Be happy it's just 14 days

i worry that sending a appeal letter would just make it worse xD

The temp ban is to check if they can find an automated way to remove the excess ore and the stored gold from the game that has been made with the exploit. If they can't, a permaban will most likely follow. The reason you are not directly permabanned this time is because legion dropped 12 days ago and public exploits of that magnitude happened weeks into the past expansions in the past. If they permaban now a lot of people will just chargeback their game / gametime and simply not buy a new one. Which means that not only creates additional workload for their accounting team but also puts extra workload on the GM's for banning accounts for the chargebacks. That's a spiral that ends with "legit" customers not getting the help in the time blizzard thinks is reasonable for customer support to answer tickets etc who then get unsatisfied and stop their subscription.
The goal here is to keep you as a customer. So removing the illegally aquired assets you produced with this exploit and allowing you to continue the game with a slap on the wrist without permabanning you is the preferred outcome. But finding a solution for this is not done in a day or two. They first need to get an overview over the magnitute of impact this had on the overall economy and on the economy of specific servers. There is a difference if you made 50.000 Gold from this or if you made 50 Million.

"Using an exploitive bug for personal gaining (high amounts of gold through the sale of the mined ores) is against the terms of use of the game.
The suspension cannot be lifted, because the explitive behaviour was intended, and because it'd be highly unfair, for the rest of the community, and as well for the others affected players that got their licenses suspended as well and that will fulfill the suspension wholly.
I'm sorry I cannot give you any better news. I wish you best of luck, and a very nice day."
Thats the answer for my appeal. I understand that once the sentence is finished I can go back to the game again.
