How to keep shop items that disappear

So how I did this was I logged on every single character and deleted heads (except for my lvl20 alt monk and lvl15 priest) then i logged on monk and mailed heads to my main. After i put them in void storage i relloged to priest and also mailed them to my main. Now the thing is that I kept them in the mail. Only after this i was able to keep the heads in void storage to this day even after server restarts etc.

I also forgot that I did it for two accounts.

If someone could clarify this for me, I would be very happy.

1. Why does the new blizzstore transmog heads get removed after you've bought them, I mean what?
2. Why would you want to keep already known mounts in your void storage?

Still have the Items, even after changeing my Zone. Just restored everything: Mounts, Pets and Helmets and they are still there. Old ones were removed few days ago. Will keep you up to date.

edit: Okay, 10 Minutes later thy are gone. Fixxed!
