Some advice that may work: In the past when there were leaked dupes and people were banned for them, they were able to transfer their toons off the account if they HAD NOT already received an email from blizzard. So basically, you try to log in game, then the ban message will pop up. If you haven't received an email about it yet, your account is still under the early stages of investigation and you may be able to log in to battle.net and transfer your main to a new account.
This will work pretty much for anybody who hasn't received their email yet but did get a ban/suspension. It may be worth a shot to try this after your 72-hour ban has been lifted if you have not already gotten another email in the meantime with an update.
So just a small recap...
1) Log in game - check for ban/suspension message
2) Check email
3) If no email has been sent, you may still have time to get a new account, transfer off your main and save that toon, (not a 100% chance of success).
4) Log on to battle.net
5) Go to realm/account transfer page, find your main, select it for an account xfer
6) ????
7) With luck, you have saved your toon!
