Ranged - Easy "Gonna Go When the Volcano Blows" - alive

Before you start reading, remember, this is only for ranged classes.

A few weeks ago there was a thread saying you can get the achievement easy if you die before you are hit. You no longer need to.

Stand deep in the lava around Sartharion, where the flame waves come from. You will take about 1200 damage every 2 seconds, but that is easily outhealable. Meteors will still be targeting you, but they will explode on the surface of the lava, doing no damage. You can stand down there during the whole fight, though you might need to move when the flame wall comes from the other side. When moving, stay in the lava. Having someone announce where the waves are coming from on Vent also helps.

Works both in Normal and Heroic mode.

If it works, awesome. However I don't know how many raid leaders that would be happy that one of their ranged is just sitting in the lava, heh. Just a question: What about LoS? Would healers be able to get you even if they are on the other side of the platform? Will you be able to hit Sartharion from wherever he is?

Are you sure you did not get hit by one while moving into the lava? Were you deep down in it and not just on the surface of it? Five of us did it this morning, it must work.

Why are People Writing "Exploits" about easying Achievements like this?

It's just as easy as pie, Just remenber to move, then you neither bother the healers to heal you,
because you are too lazy to move and decides to jump into the lava? Lol!

This achievement is pretty easy if you just watch stuff falling from the sky and avoid them :\


Also as rogues .. if you stand in the lava you can cloak and u will no longer take dmg even once cloak falls.
