Ok so I'm sure you've seen this achievement but didn't understand it. Bet you thought you had it already. WELL, its got nothing to do with the flame wall, its lava strike.

An easy way to get this is kill yourself early on in the battle.
I'd suggest using a spell to taunt the boss, get one shotted and then say "oops, wrong button, sorry" or stand in the flame wall + jump in lava, hit by tail etc.

Then, when your group kills sarth, you get the achievement since you dont get hit by lava strike (a random aoe spell).

This achievement is easy if you are not blind. Just move out of the way from fireballs.

It's really not that easy if your trying to attempt it. Especially if you tank in raids like I do, as you cant always just run out of the way at leisure. Plus you could easily get hit by it while waiting for Flame Wall to pass over, etc, etc.

Either way this is ancient and very well known for anyone that didn't get it by random chance already.

I am curious what about this exploits intended game mechanics. This is no more an abuse of game function than getting credit for a boss fight you were involved in engaging even though you died during the fight.

Haha, what we did was have 10 people kill sarth, and have 15 people die for this achievement.

How the hell is this not an exploit, you aren't supposed to be able to do it while dead, even if your "pro w/e" guild did it when it was still cool..

You are supposed to be able to do it while you’re dead if you participated in the combat.
It is NOT an exploit because blizzard intended the game to work this way so you are cheating nothing.
It’s the reason you still get loot from a boss you died on. If you were in combat with the boss, in the same party as the group who pulled and killed him you are entitled to be credited for the kill (and all the loot/achievements that includes).

You'd have to be ****ing retarded not to get this achievement without this "exploit", if you could even call it that.

max zoom out, and as a caster just dot / instant spells and run around like a fool. I did that, as a melee? just run around they won't really care.

I don't think this is a exploit since dying is never good, and it's just moving your character for incoming strikes so not really a big deal.

Well, some people dont like zooming out? Some ppl lag if u zoom out too much in 25m raid with all the spells going on. Im just trying to help, and it did help, so why flare?
